Diablo is a solid game, no doubt about it. But it doesn't compare to the level of depth that DD accomplishes. But unfortunately this is the only decent divine game out imo the second Beyond sucked, and Draconis is just, meh...

@adriank1223 Are you kidding me? You clearly haven't tried the remastered version of ego draconis (the dragon knight saga). They redid the entire game, fixed tons of bugs, etc. Its fantastic, I don't know what you're smoking.

@adriank1223 I played Draconis o ONLive and logged 100+ hours in it. I think it's pretty good for a single player game. D2 is different. It's not a single player RPG for the most part. It's meant to be played online so it's more action based. And you build really counts in D2, especailly in hardcore mode.

i have char with most of warrior / mage skills so i can say its a battle mage ^^

cuz i use sword (holy weapon) with 5charms and a dragon shield (whole dragon set) it's undefeatable in close range and magic is very good add ;)

It's not like Diablo. Diablo is a hack'n'slash rpg - ie, mostly about the combat. This is a proper RPG with 1000 times more stats, NPC's, conversations, and all the paraphernalia of a REAL RPG!!!

@HardWarUK Diablo is a multiplayer rpg. You can't have all this conversation and stuff of what you call a "real RGP" when it's real time. There's no such thing as "Combat Pause" in Diablo.

Hell no! Plays different, it added new ideas to the action rpg genre that are being used today.

Mannetasi, these two games don't really compare. Personally I like this a bit more, but BG2 has a story like no other, its just the whole party control I'd rather not play all the time.

It combines elements of Diablo 2 and BG2, but it's better than both of those games IMO.

And "rip off" is a bit too strong a word anyway. I mean isometric RPGs are practically thier own genre these days.

man this game was so awesome, havent played it since my old windows 98 PC, it beats most RPG's of its kind by a long shot. Can never find any copies of it anymore though.

This and Icewind Dale are my faves for singleplayer RPG.

You actually used World of Warcraft audio on the back of it, that's quite nice, i see you play the newer games well. I love Divine Divinity, it's not a bad game, despite the fact it's quite old, same with Diablo. It's hard to tell who is copying who, or if it's the "great minds think alike" thingy. Well, great video, great game, great audio. 5/5
