Just thought I would follow up and mention, this was one of the only decent titles Zeus Software developed before becoming defunct. It was also their biggest title up to that date. It is also the only released game they developed for Amiga, Atari ST, Genisis and IBM-PC platforms by this software company. The Amiga version is the best one :)
I got a question... Isn't there any possibility to get the first eye-key (at the beggining of stage 5) without being transferred there by the stone-eye guy? It's really frustrating me, guys :P
Scariest game over screen in history but one of the finest. I love this verison of the soundtrack. sounds so awesome. Genesis version was too damn easy with horrid sound. wonder how the game would fare on the snes, probably better. Kudos!
Cool game. Only thing I'd say is, a couple of the pieces of music seem misplaced, i.e. the ending music sounded more like it should have been the end boss music, which was pretty tame in comparison. Also, shame the end boss fight was so broken, the dragon before him seemed much harder. All in all though, nice game.
Well it is all relative. When I played the megadrive version the sound was terrible but the game itself didn't seem that broken. Compared to say secound samuria that got a very raw deal on the megadrive.
I see what you mean. Still, there are some differences that are worth noting. There was an aggravating memory game in the Genesis version of Risky Woods, while in this Amiga game, you only need to collect a key in order to move past the gates in each stage. Also, there are coins and a shop to spend them in, rather than the chain mail plates that give you silver and gold armor.
Oh fuck yes I'd forgotten about the god awful memory game. What the hell where they thinking when they programmed that? I think this was the big problem with amiga conversations for the most part. The whole dicking around with a perfectly good game. Until all the goodness was gone.
I remember seeing this game in a magazine and thinking oh my good this looks like an awesome game...
Then I buy it and it turns out to be so damn tedious.

This game looks SO cool! What was the original format of this game for Amiga? Cartridge? CD? Floppy?

@niobyte Yeah, they made some pretty crappy games. But I agree, this one was cool! Played it a lot back in the day. :)

Really high quality game with great music. I used to play it so often when I was a kid, but could never get past the first few levels.

I've played through the Genesis version of this game, and I'm not so sure of that.

Wow how many memories I remind with this video. It was a good ol' difficult game.
Also this was probably one of the very very few Spanish games somehow well known abroad along with Commandos.
