retarded suspension. or correction, lack of suspension. he cant connect the front shaft, no shock would ever be long enough, tires big enough to need that amount of lift werent common back in 91 when this was filmed, so tractor tires would have to be used, which would snap the stock running gear in a heart beat. and those leaf packs have no ability to compress, so it couldnt even be taken offroad. sorry man, i know this is an old video, but that is as bad as a slammed mexican truck

no the only thing a lift will stress is universal joints. if they dont adjust the pinion angle the universal joints will be trashed because of such a sever angle. tires also will kill an axle. the tire size will greatly affect how long an axle will live. the bigger the tires the bigger the chance the axles will fail to rotate them. bigger tire means greater weight and way more stress. lifts really dont affect axles tho

yup! 24 in suspension and a 3inc body lift. this was originaly a low boy 3/4 ton truck.

the front springs are staight with hardly any arc to them. the custom made drop brackets in the back were 8 and 1/2 inch not to mention the add aleaf and rearcing and blocks. check out the other video to see what it looked like with 44 inch tires. there was enough room to fit 66inch monster truck tires on it if i would have trimmed the fenders a little bit .
