  • Nice and fresh interpretation! Best of luck!

  • I love it! What a beautiful version !

  • Una de las mas preciosas canciones escritas en la Historia , tema musical de Mondo Cane ( Perro Mundo), a mi particularmente me atrajo esta version

  • Love that song!

  • Found this in an old jazz fakebook I had. Lots of fun! Good job!

  • Lovely - one of my favorite songs - you do it beautifully...

  • Thank-you, angelman51266. Glad you liked it. 8-)

I just woke up, yet my brain is still asleep. LOL

  • Classic !

  • Thanks Ken! 8-)

  • A bubbly lovely little song Scott!

  • Thanks, Rhonda. I'm in the middle of making a new video, but it's nice to find you dropped by, as I took a little break from my work to check on my Emails.

  • Nice one Bodine. That sax is wailin' pretty good on the break!

Good vocal, good arrangement, good playin. - All the best to you and the beard....

    B:-)

  • Thanks, Sir Barry... from ''The Beard.'' LOL!

  • Nicely done, Scott.

Now you've got me interested in the original movie which I have never seen. I looked at a few snippets on YouTube and the song MORE just doesn't seem to fit the general tenor of the film. I'll try to find the original and watch it. So far the the song is much more uplifting than the film shots.

  • Thanks, Laurence. The song definitely is out of place in that movie! It's kind of cool to have it that way though. Adds some sort of humor to the whole thing... kind of. 8-)

  • I guess it just goes to show that a quality composition can survive a bad placement. Some musician will pick it up and make even more of it.

  • I would just love to sit in front of an orchestra/symphony and listen to them play all of your arrangements, that would be a great experience. Nice job on this one.

  • Thanks, Steve. Yeah, I'd love that myself, especially if someone else is footing the bill!

  • Hey man.. You looks like Gabbie Haze, but you sings a hole heap better. Clevur Viddies too

    Keep on a singin' Gabby.

    Karbo

  • Hello Karbo, Gabbie Haze here... LOL...

We won't tell the real Gabbie Haze you think I sing better. Don't want you to get in trouble. Actually, I don't think I know who Gabbie Haze is.

  • Halloo there ol' bearded one. I lookit up this ol' actor, Gabby. I spell it wrong. His name is Gabby Hayes... and next to Trigger, he was Roy Rogers bestest buddy. Lol! I sending you URL link man, so you see Gabby and know who you look like!

    Good things to you.

  • Wow did I see you ages ago? that you own a beard nowadays? haha LOL

Great song my friend very creative and talented!

    *****

    Peace

    Love

    Mary

  • Hi Mary. I mean to trim this apeman beard, but I can't find my scissors anywhere! Glad you like my version of this old song. 8-)

  • Aahhh what the hack, it's almost winter...let it grow...LOL

    Greetsss and kiss

    Mary

  • I haven't heard this song in so long. Beautifully done Scott! :)

  • Thanks, Karen. It's one of those happy tunes that were so popular back in the 60s. I like singing stuff like this now that my upper vocal range for screaming Rock songs has taken a permanent vacation. LOL & 8-)

  • Always a joy

  • Thanks, Pino. I realize this style of music isn't your style of choice, but I'm happy if you find something positive in it. 8-)

  • DB - enjoyed how you stylized this one.

Nice vibe and the sax was sounding great.

I think Dino(Dean Martin) did this one a few times.

    Great rendition !

    -Basement Bob

  • Thanks, B. Bob. He may have. I think Andy Williams did it... Sinatra... probably a whole bunch of others as well. I worked Bass, Baritone, Tenor and Alto Saxes into this arrangement.

  • Classic song, I've heard it many, many times but never knew it was associated with a film, or series of films. Anyway, always a pleasure to see one of your performances, great job as always.

  • Thanks, Mr. Steve. The song and the movie(s) fit together like The Odd Couple. The song is nice and tame, and about love, the movies are bizarre depictions of the strange activities of people around the world.

  • very nice Bodine! yes that was a crazy movie! people with there limbs ate of from sharks and all kinds of wierd stuff

  • Thanks, Freddy. You're darn tootin' that was one weird movie. Did you see it when it first came out? I didn't like the Pig Roast scene.

  • yes i saw it when it first came out in 1902 lol.i keep telling marlene to keep an eye out for it,as she hasn't seen it.

  • Hi Freddy. You can get the movie on DVD or VHS dirt cheap on Amazon. I just looked for ya'. Just type in ''Mondo Cane'' in their search box. Get that popcorn poppin'!

  • Yeeps... is it just me or is this kinda spacey... ? Spacey in a GOOD way... :P -------------- and Diesel, darn you, I'm still trying to figure out your garlic flavored question...

  • Hello David R C. Don't worry if you can't get the answer to that question. I'll just forget that I asked it, and you'll be absolved from all responsibility to answer it. 8-)

  • Bodine: Oh listen Mister Thing... ya ain't getting off that easy! I will have some kind of response for my "answers" video tonight to get my revenge on you - bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... :P

  • Alright, David. I tried to graciously give you an ''out'' to answering that most perplexing question, but now I expect your answer forthwith and in a timely manner.

nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. LOL & 8-)

  • Hey!! I never had seen the movie but your playing and singing is just wonderful!!! 5 stars! Have a nice sunday! Sarah :-)

  • Thanks, Sarah! Glad you liked it. You have a great Sunday yourself. I love the weekend! 8-)

  • Wow...two channels! One with music and one with speaking?? I'm right??

I love it too but I have to learn so it's not that nice ;-)

  • Hi Sarah. I have three Channels. Whatcha working on learning this weekend that makes it not so nice for ya'? Learning is fun! Or did I misunderstand the meaning of your Comment?

    8-)

  • Wow...Three!! I have to learn for school...so it's not fun only stress...Thats life :-)

  • Hi Sarah. What are you studying?

  • I study biology! Next week I write a conclave! The theme is neurobiology...It's interesting but not that easy :-)

  • Hi Scott, very nice tune,I haven't seen the movie, but the tune sounds good. great arrangements and loved that sax you put in man, time for trimming the beard a little Amigo, starting to look like Billy Gibbons(ZZ-top), just kidding man, greets Vic.

  • Hi Vic. I debated doing a guitar solo, but went with a trade off between the Bass, Baritone, Tenor, and Alto Saxes for the lead breaks.

Yeah, I may need to do something about this aggressive beard growth situation soon before I look like a caveman. LOL & 8-)

  • I must admit this is a bit 'major' for my taste, but as ever you do a brilliant job. That beard is getting very lavish, it's hard to remember what you looked like without. Of course I could just go into the archives. :)

  • Hello Cathy. My beard made me do it... a ''major'' song. It does have some ''minor'' chords in it, too, in the bridge. 8-)

  • Most engaging.very nice job.

  • Thanks Paul (fendermac). It's fun to harvest the songs from the past. I may have to do another original soon though. I've written lots of songs, so I don't want to appear that I only do cover tunes.

  • I've heard this song several times before, you did a really nice cover.Well done.

  • Thanks, Philip. I like the melody of this tune from 1962. It may be too tame for some folks, but a good melody is a good melody to me.

  • Lovely. ive never heard of the movies you talk about.

  • Hello Coz. Yeah, those ''Mondo Cane'' movies are very weird. I like foreign movies. It's Italian, like Fellini. There's a brutal pig slaughter by some Pacific Islanders, which I didn't like at all, in the first movie, but most of the movie(s) deal with more odd or ridiculous things. Check them out. The first movie was better than its sequel.

  • Fabulous stuff Scott! Your arrangments are awesome! Cheers mate!

  • Thanks a lot, Bro Ed. Check out the ''Mondo Cane'' movie if you want to see a really weird movie for its time... 1962. Cheers!

  • always have enjoyed this song.....just music to my ears. never seen the movie however.

    michael

  • Hello Michael. Up late? This song is very unrepresntable of the ''Mondo Cane'' movies. They're about the odd things people, in a variety of cultures, do around the world that most Westerners would find odd, bizarre, humorous, and even quite disgusting. This song doesn't fit into the movie at all. It's kind of funny that it's the movie's theme song! Well, off I go now to get some sleep.

  • yes, up late i took a long nap this afternoon. i want to see this movie now.

  • Michael... be prepared for some pretty sick stuff if you're going to watch the movie. That's all I can say. The whole movie isn't like that, but there are some gross things in that movie. By today's standards, it would seem relatively tame, but we're talking 1962.
