Very sad & eye opening. Videos like these should be shown to young adults before joining the military so that they can better understand the reality of war
Man, this really touched me. Our government has to give more care to our mentally and physically injured vets. It isn't fair to them, like Victor said he would rather have his leg blown off. Thank you for your service and god bless you and your family.
I have PTS from life's war trauma since I was a girl your mind can be hurt in many ways why this great and grateful nation can't take care of it's gladiators is beyond me we have senators that get free health care for crap they pull on capital hill and we can't give our worriers adequate help when they take a bullet for us it is sad for the greatest nation on earth to disregard it best
The only reason why I wanna become a doctor, is so that I can become a CARING one - Screw the money, yes... I'll need some for my living, but I don't want it cause of the high payment - even if the payment would be normal I would still become one.
It's just that I'm getting sick of ALL these -give it a few weeks, if it gets worse. THEN you come back.´
For the love of GOD! Did medical school take away your sympathy?!
@Prinoto Thank you for caring enough about mankind to actually give of yourself. The old ways are so gone that they are almost forgotten. Society is so money hungry and law suit happy, that it saddens me. Our soldiers gave all and deserve the most. More than any government official that is getting our tax dollars for a pension. They could put that money to use for our soldiers or raise a soldiers pay!!
if no is political then wtfuck it is? first victor went to a war that he never created.he was send to fight for a freedom u guys never have yet,n on top of his innocence, his goverment tell him that quit crying like a baby that is only headaches, now can u tell me this is aint political madness? next timeSEND U PRESIDENT TO FIGHT MANO A MANO WITH WHO EVER HE WANT WAR.,n we be sit here at the black house drinking n party n sending him to the medicaid clinics to get cured in case he is beat up.Fwar

God bless you Victor and Roxanna. I want to make a comment, Victor is 100% American, born and raised in Puerto Rico. His father-in-law is my friend and I met Victor in January 2008. He is not the same person. This guy was a rock-hard and had a brilliance about him. It was his 3rd tour that this happened on and it is a shame that his wife had to work so hard to get him the treatment he needed. We'll be praying for you. Steve Zimmer
Every time I see a Hispanic soldier putting themselves in harms way to protect our country, I can't help but wonder how they feel about the anti-Mexican sentiment that seems to be sweeping our country (e.g., the new Arizona law).
What about the families of the inocent people killed and injured in Iraq by USA soldiers?!
USA invaded them searching for WMDs that never existed, it was wrong to invade Iraq and nobody forced those soldiers to go there, they did it for the money and the dangers were obvious, at least they can be treated with proper doctors unlike the poor Iraq people that live oppressed by USA soldiers.
@PJMDS What about them? Is your ability to feel compassion so meager that you need to withhold it from this soldier, who is in obvious pain, so that you can preserve some compassion for the Iraqi victims of the war who might be worse off? Who told you that it is necessary to approve of someone's actions in order to feel sympathy for their suffering? Sometimes all we can offer someone is our understanding. Don't withhold it.
@ReadLearnandBecome A fair point. Suffering is suffering, but the amount of attention I see American soldiers get absolutely eclipses any compassion the Iraqis will ever see.
@aqme28 Who we feel compassion for is a different issue then who we decide is most in need of attention. Anyone who is suffering deserves our compassion. No exceptions. This isn't a political issue for me, it is a matter of principle, but there are political ramifications. We Americans would not go to war so easily if we weren't so eager to find reasons not to care about other people, to judge and condemn.
@PJMDS Of course they went for the money. When you're a soldier and an opportunity comes up, you have to take it, or you'll regret it when you're living on the street. They invaded looking for WMDs, but they stayed because they were fighting the insurgents.
