There are about two million ethnic Koreans living in the eastern part of China right above the border line between Korea (North) and China. Because of these Korean-Chinese people, China unreasonably asserts that most Korean cultures, including Hanbok, are theirs. How silly assertion is this? No one in the world accept those kind of Chinese propaganda as nonsense. HaHaHa.

@msk2808 nope you got it wrong,韓服 is korean traditional clothing in chinese. but 汉服 is han chinese traditional clothing. Though they have the same pronunciation, they have total different meaning. Chinese do not bother asserting hanbok as their clothing. Since when do they do tht? They only use manchurian clothes as their traditional clothing because Manchurians rule china during qing dynasty. Koreans are just a minority. They don bother about korean clothing at all.

@Suzy4404 Probably the most distinct difference is that the upper part of a hanbok is tied on the front of the chest with a ribbon, while a kimono is fastened with a belt which applies for both sexes. There lots of other differences, like a man's kimono is essentially a one-piece clothing, but a man's hanbok is a two-piece clothing, kimono for both men and women are more tight-fitting, but hanbok are more baggy and airy, and other little things.
