  • I have this song filed under "My Music" on my desk top. Even though I have it on the old "LP's", on the old "45" and on various CD's I still listen to it on my computer a lot while I'm checking/answering E-mails and other work. It is definitely a song and singer, anyone who loves "OLD" country and "OLD" Rock n' Roll, would want to have handy. Another great one, from that era was DAVID HOUSTON's "ALMOST PERSUADED"

  • Must be the best "From A Jack To A King"! I have heard a lot of singers, but not so good like this. And I remember the good old days. I have some favorites: Elvis, Ned Miller, Patsy Cline, Jerry Lee Lewis... and of course "Rock-Olga" from Sweden. Very Sorry she died for just a few days ago! She was the rock-queen here! Listen to What you´ve done to me!!!!!!!! She is outstanding!

    From Ewa "Lillan" Sweden

  • I so was born in the wrong period of time! I wish I lived back in those days when music was true...

  • awesome post thanx

  • A favorite!

  • Love songs like this. Why cant songs these days have an acoustic melody and rich harmonies like this?

  • @y0utubemetube Because they've been dominated by computers and gotten too complex. Hence the reason we won't be remembering them in years to come like we remember wonderful songs and people like Ned Miller.

  • This was one of my dad's very favorite songs. He used to go around singing it to himself all the time. He passed away last summer. Thanks for the post. Great song.

  • This song always reminds me of visits to my Granny back in the fifties. It was indeed a magical period on my life.

  • There was lots of song come out at that time. I hate to see the young mess up the mood that was back then. 48 years ago I was 20. Such a good life that God from whom all blessing flow.

  • Thank You so much for sharing this song. Im from India and there are a number of us here who love the old legends and their lovely songs. This song brings back so many fond memories... I just closed my eyes and savoured the sweet melody. God bless you !!!!!

  • I have a different version of Ned singing this song on a CD. Maybe it is the album version from 1963. It sounds like it was recorded around the same time period.

Still feel this is Ned's best tune because it showcases his range a little better than any other song, especially on the word, "twinkle".

Also, like the tune, "Big Love", which, unfortunately, missed the Pop charts shortly after this hit. All of his songs should have been hits.

Thanks for the memories and the Posting.

  • Without any shadow of doubt, the best version of this classic song. Thank you for posting it.
