Ja right, I am having a 'debate' with someone that listened to max 3 bands of EBM hahah Your musical 'education' is surely in another direction. As about good sense, your 40 years education in it, they surely failed. This debate over 'resembling' bands is denotes a juvenile pattern both in thinking, instincts AND musical education. For me, it's like an aphonous telling my (EBM) music is all sounding as Depeche Mode. There is no comparison between Covenant and Apoptygma (which I used to like to, before its 'muse'-alistik metamorphosis), neither between Covenant and VNV. Simply put, Covenant can't be compared to anything you ever met. Dot. And comparing anyway acts among themselves is an obscene gesture IMHO.

I did not disregard the bands each being able to stand on their own feet, I merely pointed out they have similarities to be ackowledged as well. In layman's terms "word of mouth" is how most bands gain listeners and that often includes an element of comparison.
