Whenever I listen to this, all I can even think of is me, in a casket, stuffed, dead. Hundreds gather in black to my burial. It rains. The sky is gray. Friends and family cry. It was much too soon. Mother is never supposed to outlive son.
i want this piece played at my funeral, so everyone can have a good cry, then after that it'll be no more tears and a big old piss up (if I have my way) hopefully not for a while yet though!
Non c'è niente da fare! La sua musica (anche se - come tanti hanno detto, G.Allevi compreso - è semplice) tocca proprio nel punto dove l'Arte deve toccare, cioè il cuore, l'anima e tutto il resto. La sua musica procura gioia, ricordi, ti fa venire le lacrime, hai voglia di abbracciare il tuo vicino, di amare il/la tuo/a compagno/a, dire "ti amo tanto" a tua mamma, voglia di rialzarti e di vivere nell'allegria: insomma, la sua musica è una vera preghiera e la si deve ascoltare con il cuore...
@19olivier72 Hai proprio ragione! E' c'è anche un' altra cosa che rende fantastico tutto questo! Ascoltare questo meraviglioso pezzo e intanto leggere commenti come il tuo! Ogni tanto è bello pensare che ci siano altre persone che si emozionano per poco e che sono pure di cuore. Infine, dico un' ultima cosa. Sentire questa musica è incredibile, è magia! Ma suonarla fa tutto un altro effetto. Quando sono al piano e la suono al buio mi sembra di viaggiare! Come dico sempre io: è pauroso!
My favouate part is when the big chords come in once around the middle i think that may be the best bit but i do also think some of the notes are waited on then dragged but superb (still prefer due tramonti and le onde)
I agree some of the notes seem to be a bit waited on and dragged out but if u look at the title and translate it into english it sort of fits with the song i still wish tht it wasnt so slow though
It's clearly done very intentionally though, they are waited in a way taht sort of shows the emotion of the song, i suppose as if he were dragging his feet.
@Appclypse Yes I agree the slowness of the piece was done intentionally and the more I've thought about it & listened to it I think I like it better when it's slow but it's a bit more dramatic when it's faster which I also like...
You made a good point though about how it's almost like he's dragging his feet I've never realy thought of that.

I love this piece when I play it but I dont think Einaudi makes the most out of the beauty of it, the song is a bit too dragged out, and it sounds more dramatic faster :) Love it though!

Lovely as always by Lontano, but I think some of the notes are a bit too dramatic with the excessive pauses and loudness....
