So if you're complaining about Gamebooster, then try the addon that comes with it because it finds and kills thousands of files that your basic Mcaffee or something like that simply won't find. @MrDuderox123 It's not a miracle worker, if your comp just isn't up to speed with the game requirements then it'll only make so much difference with the lag. Game Booster simply ends background tasks that don't need to be run.

I think there is a button like "Browse" so you can do it manually.

Just get into steam, select left 4 dead, go to the properties and defragmentate it

Uh. Well, I know a lot of tweaks if you want me to send them to you. Just PM me and I'll send them all to you. They should increase your FPS. Try these videos as well, or you'll have to get a new video card. I have a Radeon HD 6450 and it still runs pretty gay. I run it on medium and it's still pretty laggy, drops from 30 - 20 FPS.

Hmmm....turn off antialising, it makes edges smoother, as if it was a higher resolution, but requires a stronger 3D accelerator card. Also get Service Pack 2, it should be in the Windows Update. It just makes it faster I guess.

Check frame rates, probably on a 5 increase. Also, did I ever say it was going to work? It works for some, doesn't for others. I'm also pretty sure you run the game at max resolution, right? Lower it to a resolution like 640 x 480.
