@moko8861 i agree with you man... you're right i think floyd felt his power when ortiz had him against the ropes punching him before that headbutt and he was worried about ortiz possibly beating him or even knocking him out that's why he cheap shoted him... but floyd was probably pissed off about the headbutt though too

lol bringin up amateur losses is beyond retarded. Amateur boxing & professional boxing is a completely different game. I've had over a dozen amateur fights. I lost some. If the scoring had been the same as in pro boxing I would be undefeated. Amateur boxing the guy who scores more pitter patter punches with the white part of the glove wins. Ortiz got clocked in the 6th round and was out on his feet and batteled threw it to drop Berto and even beat him up rest of the fight. Usually when a fighter takes a blow like that they don't fully get their legs back under them for the rest of the fight. Maybe you don't know about boxing.

@vinamel97 No, you can develop heart as you go along in life threw experiences thats why people with harder upbringings/etc could have more heart then others. Ortiz stopped in one fight, gave a bad post-fight interview so the whole boxing world wrote him off, he got sick of it and reacted differently when he was dropped against Berto and won the WBC belt

I just never heard of any of the Elite fighters ever quitting in the early years of their career. But hey thats just a personal opinion maybe I'm wrong and Ortiz will prove me wrong again one of these days.

@vinamel97 It wasn't that early in his career it was only 2-3 years ago. Morales quit vs Pacquiao in their 3rd fight in the early rounds but Morales fought Maidana hard till the end last fight with a very swollen eye. People just wrote Ortiz off for having no heart because of his post fight interview basically saying he might retire after the loss. Boxers dont always quit sometimes they need to throw the towel like Margarito shouldve vs Pac, his eye problem is what cost him vs the Cotto rematch.

@vinamel97 Ortiz actually explained why he did it, which I don't agree with headbutting he did have a point. Floyd is notorious for using his elbows, and Victor got upset because the ref refused to call it.. so like he said "I tried to break his nose"
