@ajames95 knowing youtubes history, this could well be a fraud. Has happened numerous times on youtube where people have scammed money under the guise that its for charity or some kind of special cause. I wonder if the people behind this so called charity event are going to actually make a video showing them actually turning the raised money over to the charity in question. Always be cautious of fraudsters on youtube.
