At least one movie from an awesome book is really good!

I know that Nathaniel wasn't a very nice guy, but on the inside he had good morals. Before he was corrupted by politics that is. I always felt sorry for him. Is it me or do you think he started caring for Kitty in a romantic way? Bartimaeus was hilarious in every book in the trilogy!

I absolutely loved this series, I'm only 11, I'm not a teenager but I still found the violence and torture bracing to be honest. I also loved the humour; Bartimaeus is a very well done character, I love his wittiness <3 I finished the series in about a week and a half and I adore these books thoroughly!

the trilogy isn't very bloody, but the 'ring of soloman' in quite aggressive and violent

I loved the Bartimaeus series. Brilliant work. I listened to them in unabridged audio form and the reader( can't recall his name) was excellent and brought tons of depth to the already great stories.

i don't see how this can work, movie wise. the climax of ptolemy's gate is so moving when you're reading it but i can only see it as looking stupid on screen. also i can't see anyone pulling off The Other Place onscreen either. some things are better left in writing. i'm sure these same arguments were made for the LOTR films though and they are the best things to come out of th southern hemisphere since kangaroos.

I admire JS. He's brilliant.

Bart rules my life, sort of. I completely believe he exists out there. I love him with all I have.

Nat, I would love to date :P I really think he's amazing and feel SO bad for him, at times.

I relate with Kitty so much. We both are alike in just so many ways. .

its very hard to make a GOOD movie out of books like these but sometimes(like Lord of the Rings) they tend to be fantastic..but please if a move not some 1 1/2 hour long movie that cuts out all the details and character building... like Eragon..i was shocked when i saw how ******g lot they cut out...

I only just now found out they're making a movie... I'm wondering, not having checked it out, if it's going to be animated, or live action? I would LOVE to do the voice of Bartimaeus, or at least try out for it...

I know. I'm so scared they'll massacre the books... D= What they really need to do is reach into all of the fans' heads and turn their images of the series into the perfect movie. Or something.

I completely love this series I want to see the movie. but I have a feeling that it is going to be something that is going to make people think wow, that movie was horrible, I guess that the books must be pretty bad.

or, everyone is going to have low expectations for it then it is going to turn out to be almost as good as the books.

i thought the magicians were good in the first book but in the seconed i started taking the side of the resistance and how they explained magicians acted..i am finishing up the seconed book to go on the third but yeah best books ever! but i'm actually sad they are making a movie its going to be dumb i just know it. i like books better cause u can imagine anything you want.
