@MrChriss666 put something to mute the strings near the headstock ( about 1st fret ) so when the open string should be heard it will sounds muted or it won't play at all, it's mainly a tapping trick but you could use it for this aswell aslong as you don't need to play open strings in the intro

i have the speed and the accuracy to sweep like that but it never sounds clean when i take my finger off a string to roll to the next one that string rings out and ends up sounding like dog shit. any advice?

@MrChriss666 don't mute the strings to learn accurate sweeping. that will only form bad habit. make sure the accuracy in your picking hand is smooth and minimal to kill excess sound. a good form to realize for your fretting hand is when you work your way up and down the strings it is your wrist that does the travel not the hand and also don't lift your fingers off the fretboard only release (squeeze the trigger don't pull for the clean kill).

@MrChriss666 You don't have the speed if you don't produce the sound work slow and build up. I suggest also learning how to economy pick an arpeggio while learning how to sweep. Hope that helps

Is it okay if I do the 3rd sweep with only 3 fingers? I mean I still havn't gotten it down I just need to know if using only 3 fingers is the problem? I've gotten used to 3 fingers only and I tried to play it with 4 fingers but Its even harder

@EarthWarZone In this tuning its CGCFAD, so sometimes what I do, is on the 3rd sweep section, I start on G on the 17th fret with my ring finger, then middle finger on C on the 16th fret, then index on F on the 14th,then middle again on A on the 15th fret and bar my index down onto D on the 14th fret and then hit D on the 17th fret with my pinky or ring finger I do it differently every time haha depend on my hand positioning at the time and whether I'm comfortable going for the pinky.

@sh0wurself Once again that just shows your udder stupidity. Different woods and electronics make diff sounds they resonate differently. ESPs are hand made guitars from japan, while most american guitars have been being made chaeper and cheaper for years. Take Fender for example alot of their shit is made in mexico now and they play like shit unsless you get a pre CBS Strat. ESP makes quality afforable guitars. They make good guitars for metal look up some guitarists who play them.

But the feel is my major problem with Ibanez. Sounds kinda cheesy,,but this is the way it is: when I play a guitar,,I want to "become one with" the guitar... Not literally of course,,but I wanna feel the interaction between me and the instrument,,and that's something I miss with Ibanez...

Had the best experience with Dean Guitars,,should check 'em out ;D

@Sjeedie ahh i can understand what you mean, i have the same responce to most shecter guitars, fenders are nice to start of with, to me i like the shape of the ibanez S series 2010 one anyway, but really the main part for me is the ZR trem, iv used it on my friends and in shops too, i love the feel of that thin neck, but the price for what you get isnt really great, so il do that, il have a look at some dean guitars :) thanks alot bud! take care ^^
