i have a tank in my bigass backyard but im not sure what the hell it is it looks like a sherman but its not a sherman and i had so many people get mad at me for not restoring it they even offered me a good amount of cash but my dad wont sell it becouse my little brother and his friends like to climb on it and stuff like that but i can make a video if you want to see it i just have to find a camera lol
@agwrangler i had some one already look at it and he said that he thinks its a firefly tank becouse its got the gun he said and i looke it up and it looks exactly like it but is it rare to find a firefly
@earniemanson The bearing is being spun to ensure there is no debris or catches in the bearing before we pack it with grease. This type of bearing will not be damaged in any way by spinning it for this reason for a short amount of time.
@Agomongo1235 No they didnt. The engine in this tank is the original. Its a GAA, which is not found in cars. The other type of engines they used in shermans were radial (airplane) engines, or detroit diesel engines. You ARE correct that some tanks did run on smaller cadillac engines, like the Stuart and the Chaffee, but not the Sherman.
Would you guys be willing to help me on a stug restoration, it looks like yall really have yalls game together. the pay would definitely make it worth your time, unfortunately the location is kentucky

@goarmy979 If it really IS a Sherman firefly, it's worth more than the property it's sitting on. Do something about it.
