Pretty sure that's the Tsar Bomba explosion, and there was no doubt even for the Soviet that it would never happen again- it detonated at 56 megatons instead of 100, and even though the detonation was 96% clean as a result of this downgrade, had it detonated with full force there would have been a global nuclear winter. As it stands, the mountains and hills on the island of Novaya Zemlya were so violently flattened it shocked the Soviet scientists themselves.
Also, the Tsar Bomba, even in its reduced state, did serious damage as far away as four hundred kilometers, and through some atmospheric effects, did varying levels of damage in small, scattered locations as far away as one thousand kilometers.
On an interesting note, the Americans who flew over to secretly watch it nearly killed themselves when it blew up, as their aircraft was not sufficiently shielded against the massive- and lethal- thermal pulse. Even the bomber barely made it.
very nice track
