You remind me so much of myself... some good ideas here and there but you are not really ready to play this in concert. All the difficult passages are not quite right. Musicality without technical ability will not get you very far...
Man, I think we should stand above a couple of wrong notes. This is what differenciates us from machines. The interpretation is the issue we should look at an not mistakes.
1:20 is something that should not happen, especially if you play this in concert. I play this myself, so I know that it is quite difficult, but this is not just a single missed note, but a whole fucked up passage
The offkeys starting at 00:19 and just continuing, really ruined this for me. I mean if it was just one, I could understand...but a whole series of offkeys??? What was he thinking? Were those keys part of his interpretation? Did he just have jet-lag or what? Some of the middle portion wasn't bad...but that beginning was rough.
My god...you've got to be kidding me, right? Give a listen to young Aaron Kurz's interpretation of this piece, and compare the two interpretations....and he was only 13 when he performed his rendition.
@pragmaticus123 Martha Argerich's is the best I heard, but sound quality is awful, haven't listened to all of them of course though - I don't think age matters, but as I am trying to learn the piece myself Ill the one you suggested a listen (even if it turns out to be you :p )
I don't get why you guys are hating on him... he's showing us how to NOT play it.
