um...the TL was the one with both headlights on at the start....sooo....yeah...CBR lost. btw, the "V Twin that's not supposed to be fast, and was built for low end torque" was a superbike- meaning it competed in competition, and low end torque is what makes you accelerate...hence def good for a 1/4 mile race...goon.
lol, the tl100r is very fast. you should really check the specs on em. The only down side to the TL is that the rake and trail could have used some tuning to make em a bit more stable.
It looks like the TLR was in front for the first 50m then it was hard to tell but given the option I would put my money on the TLR over the 1/4 mile :)

it is a vtwin its not supposed to be as fast, its built for low end torque. of course a 1000cc 4 cylinder will beat it.

this was more pronounced on the tl1000s. the r version is not as bad but it definitely is not for new riders because of that small instability
