  • Very simple ... A great song !! ... To anyone, please translate this message to English in good spelling.

  • 'Mr. Gringo, my father he ain't no Che

GuevaraAnd he's fighting the war on the streets of MasayaLittle Indian

girl where is your father? Little Indian girl where is your

momma? They're fighting for Mr. Castro in the streets of Angola'

  • "they fightin for mr castro in the streets of angola..la da da da, la la la la"

  • To all the innocent children caught in the world's senseless wars!:>)

  • Tattoo You

  • "Lesson number one you learn while you're young: Life goes on and on getting harder and harder"... ain't that the truth!!

  • Hard to choke one's tears.

  • gonna share this with everybody i know,,,,,

  • Love this tune.. life just goes on an on getting harder an harder. Lesson number one better learn while your young.

  • Love this tune..

  • Rollin...

  • I would assume at the time of its release, this song might have bite the big one. I remember and it was instant "Cha Chink" on the 8-track to the next track because I wanted the fast paced Stones. Finally after forgetting to change the track and just letting the song play I warmed up to it. Then as I lost excitement with the main stones of Emotional Rescue, as in only human and your interested change, this song has its got to play time. Today I think of it all the time and true classic.

  • its Charlie Wattman big time!

  • Rollling WAS stoned~ lol

  • beautiful track!!

  • I don't hate this song, but it did ruin Emotional Rescue. Mick said that the album was not supposed to be taken seriously, and that its just a joke. But the serious nature of the lyrics of this song just destroys that whole idea. All the other songs are silly, except this one. If they put Think I'm Going Mad on here, then this album would have been much better.

They could have put this one on Undercover. The Lyrical theme would have fit better.

  • @madferit1993 blah blah blah ...pointless comment

  • @bicklesby1 All comments are pointless really. Nobody gives a shit what anyone else thinks.

  • @madferit1993 I disagree, through the comments I found a guy who knew and played with some old blues musicians (Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee), been in touch with the estate of some songwriters and hearing stories of people who went to the gigs (that I've uploaded) can be interesting.

  • I have this. It's actually the whole song. The version that ended up on the album is this, just cut down. The extra measures are cut down to a uniform amount. The same with Emotional Rescue. You can hear an extra measure on every verse/chorus. I find the stereo mix on this better than the finished product, don't you?

  • Keith i'll smoke a joint for you, my hero.

  • miissing BILL WYMAN

  • tears in the eyes, but smiling...so nice...can't fight it

  • When he sings "Lesson number one" they really sound like Grateful Dead or vise versa. Both great bands though, as well as Nazareth (My Personal fave).

  • i proudly have this cd!

    beautiful songs on it

  • ya can't always get what ya want...?

  • @eikels or worried about you

  • they're shooting down planes with their M16s and they're laughing.

  • ...they shooting down the planet with M16 and then laughter......."what a stupid thing to do".... luckily the sound of the Bass Guitar save the day, it is remarkable!

  • solo hay que escuchar la letra para captar la grandedza de esta super rola.. y ohhh!!! indian girl...

  • its not the same one....the vocal order is different and the steel licks are different.

  • wooooooooohooooooooooooo,kool luv it ya

  • quite possibly one of the strangest Stones songs recorded.

  • aw man all the indian girls are sooo strong thru it all

  • under rated Stones....they really are great baladiers

  • emotional abuse...and such

  • love it.........

  • So reminds me of one of my daughter's " Jacq" I love you.

  • real rocker is survival and im sorry to say the rolling stones have proven themselves since 1963 and let see we are in 2010 going on 11 thats a long time to still make alot records and the stones sold out on the brazil beach a lot of people say no more stones rule rock funny when a rock star dies theye admire him as a painter thats why stones havent receive popular vote because they r still here with us

  • tema esplendido que compenetra el alma ,son pues los STONES

  • in this moment i like it more than the master!

  • Benecio Del Toro learned about Che Guevara from this song.

  • LUV THIS iiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!so kool

  • Thank you for this excellent version, and you are right about it being a rehearsal. If one listens closely, the piano and the steel guitar fills (not solo parts) are quite different compared to the released version. This means that the over-dubbed parts are probably the same, but the basic track is different from the album. And Mr. Wyman always played alone and could play the exact same notes to a song each time, unlike the piano (was it Stu on this one?) or Mr. Wood's steel guitar fills. Great.

  • Such a great song!

  • @johnny576375 this is the released version from emotional rescue. this is not a rehersal this is the final recording.

  • @silentdreemz85 Its very, very similar to the released one.

  • Exactly. Think about it, Jagger was the first frontman of a rock band. Says something :) Still the greatest showman there is.

  • @tonykartyz125 yeah dude coz Jagger understand the blues like no other rocK 'n'roll blues band ever does

  • @tonykartyz125

i remember watching some showtime music extravaganza...every artist was introduced but, Mick,,,,,IT WAS CLEAR TO THE WORLD.....EVERYONE WATCHING, WOULD KNOW MICK......

  • a lovely song jagger sounds great on thistune great words

  • Definetly, Harder, and harder.

  • True!!!

  • Life goes on and on getting harder and harder... its oh so true!!!!

  • Hell yea. I remember this well.

One of there best tunes ever!

    so true in today's world.

  • Yet another one of those great Stones songs butchered for the expediency of the 40 minute vinyl format, and sadly unrestored (officially) since then, despite THREE fucking different remasters of the entire post - 1970 catalog.

  • Cool song, cool beat and wyman doesnt fuck around does he?

  • Thoswe of us who have hung in there as fans appreciate the great unknown Stones songs and there are many in the last 30 years, they're just eclipsed by the earlier material and judgemental expectations the public has put on them.

  • Life goes on getting harder and harder.
