If you want to study how languages relate to eachother, you have to look at ALL languages, not just English and Hebrew. What about Chinese and Native American languages. There are words that are borrowed from other languages because of transmigrations and adoption of religions (Like the Thai who came from the south of China adopted Buddhism).
Of course many European words are influenced by Hebrew after 2000 years of christianity with wondering jews all over Europe.
I meant: of course European languages are influenced by Hebrew after 2000 years of Christianity with wandering jews all over Europe. Of course written language is very important and the Hebrew system has been very important because the Greek adopted it and our alphabet derives from it. But what about Chinese? And we ARE related, so there must have been a very early development, much older than Hebrew, which is just one of many languages that came from the same root, we know nothing about.
The Japanese use more musical notes than are common in western music. Linguistically, the range & complexity of a language differs according to the area the people are from. For example; an English "L" sound is heard and repeated as "R".
Nothing that is said can explain the African, Indian, Native American, or Asian dialect.
no competent linguist would accept the spurious, unsystematic etymologies offered here. by their logic, why not conclude that the word 'bible' comes from the same root as 'babel' and 'babble', meaning 'incomprehensible speech'?
to say that "gonorrhea" comes from "gomorrah" displays a total ignorance of greek roots. the word actually comes from 'gonos', meaning 'seed', from which we get the term 'gonad', and a form of the verb 'rhein' (to flow), which also gives us many medical terms referring to excessive discharge, such as diarrhea, seborrhea etc. gonorrhea was named for outpouring of mucus, which at the time was mistaken for semen.
Gonorrhea from Gomorrah was from Dr. Jos. Shipley. His theory is at least as valid as the published guesses in dictionaries by illiterates who thought everything came from Greek or Latin.
Agriculture is not from Greece, but the Middle East. Greek words are from Semitic.
@IsaacMozeson great theory. although it's incomplete without the Arabic being taken into an account. the Arabic precedes the Hebrew, and your discovery is better supported and clarified through both Hebrew & Arabic examples.
No serious biologist believes humans evolved from chimpanzees. Rather, it is thought that they both share a common ancestor, just like all life on Earth. The hurricane in a junkyard is a ridiculously flawed metaphor, and does not take into account the sheer scale and complexity of the microscopic world in which organic molecules are thought to have first become able to make copies of themselves, giving rise to life.
@rotocon Then there should be other species like fish who evolved into industrial civilizations and gone to the moon if evolution is true why are we the only ones here that are smart?Fish were here before us they would have evolved way farther than us yet we see nothing but fish still.Fish would have had a better chance than mamals on any scale. They should have a sentient common ancestor as well as us if this is one big petre dish as you say.Maybe there was idk.Things just dont stop evolving.
@IsaacMozeson If evolution was true there would be a fish species or some other kind of industrial society parallel to our own.Others we could share culture with us.There wouldnt be monkeys still they would be extinct by now too. There theories have to many un answered questions.Millions of years a damn dog would evolve to a dog person and would have gone to the moon too by now.Who are they to say we are the apex of evolution and everything is done evolving either yet they do.

many linguists do not accept the proto-world hypothesis

They believe that humans are evolved chattering chimps, and that a hurricane in a junk yard could accidentally form a 747. Such linguists have never
seen an Edenic word separated by sub-roots, with designed synonyms and antonyms. They are NOT stupid, merely ignorant.
