Yeah, there is a noticable and very annoying gap between the monitors. Three is best.

What card did you used for rendering?

This was on my old system with two 6800GS cards. The middle screen can run at your native resolution and you can just run the side screens at 640x480 because they're just in your peripheral vision.

Only one. With SoftTH you can use 3 screens on 1 computer.

Yeah,

Only one computer, two graphics cards though and using SoftTH. Great bit of software, and if set up properly it can run very smoothly. My machine isnt 'state of the art' but it plays very smoothly as you can see. One trick you can do is set the side screens at 640x480 as they're just in your peripheral vision you only need minimal information going to your brain, thus saving on gpu power.
