  • that's amazing... it's actually mimicking a toxic sea worm's appearance..........

  • He's like a tiny little flamenco dancer!!! <3

  • He looks pist. lol

  • Anyone else think it's trying to look like a lobster?

  • Amazing..

  • Sucks that such a cool little thing is so poisonous

  • A Salvador Dali quote applies aptly to this little guy. "I'm not on drugs. I am drugs!" Sulawesi seriously has the coolest wildlife and flora. Tylomelania snails, Nepenthes eymea, Nepenthes glabrata, N. hamata, N. maxima, halfbeaks, lorikeets, Sulawesi shrimp, etc. Coolest wildlife ever!

  • Yep,I took it in Indonesia on one of my diving trip. Thanks for watching.

  • Fantastic footage. Did you film it yourself?

  • It's imitating a poisonous sea slug - not just the color, but also using the tentacles to imitate the slug's feelers. That is amazing.

  • Thank you all for watching & comments.

  • lol I love the little blenny looking confused and hovering over it

  • Its trying to look like a poisonous nudibranch!!!!

  • The thing I liked about this video was the font.

  • I love the way it walks over the seafloor ^^

  • Oooooohh.... it seemed to be imitating a hermit crab..

  • this was great and I'm studeing cuttlefish, and well all mollusk if you didn't know it was a mollusk, anyhow watch my vid, I have 2 animal vids, and I loved this so maybe you'll like mine

  • Can cuttlefish become sociable creatures with humans like dolphins?

  • @heatfilter they already are, I've studied and still am studying, you see another species of cuttlefish it wont mind you it'll let you touch and follow it, also never touch a flamboyant, it's poisonous..... I love animals!!!

  • Both beautiful and adorable! I love their little chubby butts! haha! What an awesome dive experience to see one in full regalia!

  • looks like it's trying to imitate a lionfish, perhaps?

  • @marsmannix I'm pretty sure its imitating a commodoris nudibranch or a similar species. Looks nothing like a lionfish and cuttlefish are good at imitiation.

  • is he trying to imitate something?

  • @mafedc no, it's defending itself by appeareing poisunus, which it is and scaring off predators, in this case it was scared of him, the diver :)

  • OMG it's a latin king, I'm so scared!

  • Good admission. Is there with snorkels (of the water surface) to be seen possible

  • @Slowico I shot this during scuba at about 12meters.Very lovely creature.

  • @davidyap63 Thank You. That is to be filmed too deeply over as Schnorchler.

  • Adorable looking critter. It seems like it can make its but walk. Awesome!

  • i LOVE the music for this. what is it?

  • @kstar12441 Hi there. It's a flamboyant cuttlefish that flashes its color like neon light when defending or maybe preying I think.Amazing ain't it?

  • @kstar12441 Hi there. It's a flamboyant cuttlefish that flashes its color like neon light when defending or maybe preying I think.Very cute but the only species of cuttlefish which is poisonous.Amazing ain't it?

  • @davidyap63 I think he admires the cuttlefish well enough, but he was asking for the music xD I'm actually looking forward to the soundtrack name too ;3 Anyways, if it was in defensive (prolly is since I think they would use camouflage for preying instead of dead obvious yellow black), what would it be like if they attacked you? :o

  • @kstar12441 Hi,If you are asking for the music,it's called Le Beau's Hole by 3 Leg Torso, album name Astor in Paris.

  • It's like having a wardrobe malfunction and trying to run away so it can hide and fix its costume.

  • @Moviesmoveme Hahaha... with that color changes so fast,I think he can fix its costume anytime faster than superman in the phone booth. Thanks for watching.

  • OMG sOOOOOOOOOOOO cute i wan to put it in my fish tank lols

  • @"everyone": Sorry about causing confusion ;-). For a moment there, I thought that I had used a Danish expression here. But according to Wikipedia, Muzak is a "valid" english word - meaning background (or elevator) music :-).

  • @nbu007 well,Learn a new word today.& my,the music really bothers everyone huh?Earlier comments was to Ricky martin's something & I just simply edit & pick this later piece from youtube but hmmm....Guess my taste of picking Muzak is way out..hahaha.Anyway thanks for the comment.

  • @davidyap63 Don't down yourself too much. Different folks different strokes. I enjoyed the music and am wondering what the track/author of it is if you don't mind :3

  • @IneedaYTaccount Hi,Name of the music; Le Beau's Hole,Artis is 3 Leg Torso from Album name Astor In Paris.Actually I got it from YouTube when I did the audioswap from Ricky Martin to this.Glad you like it & thanks for watching.

  • I'm a diver myself, and I''ve shot 1000s of photos of Cuttle Fish, Rays, Sharks as well as other creatures of the sea. I could never dream of killing or interfering with any of these marvelous animais. I know the drill "take nothing but photos - leave nothing but bubbles", and I for one is definitely diving according to these simple rules!

The only thing I want to kill, I this terrible background music ;-)

  • Amazing little fella! Did you know, that in addition to being poisonous, it actually cannot swim? It can only skip around the sea bed as seen on the video. I agree with others, please kill this annoying muzak :-)

  • @nbu007 Hi,I understand it's poisonous & thanks for your comment. But these creatures will use it for defending & surviving in their natural habitat. We don't kill it just because of their natural characteristic for survival & to live.We have to be careful but also must be fully aware that we are the one who is intruding into their space.Thanks.

  • @davidyap63 Muzak = music. I know, I didn't get it at first either.

  • @starfourfivesix Hi,Thanks.Got it now.

  • @nbu007 sorry I misunderstood your comment.Happy diving...

  • Flamboyant Cuttlefish are the only venomous cuttlefish.

  • pretty :)

  • Thank you for your comment. The undersea world is just awsome.

  • cool! this things are awsome!

  • whats with that subliminal flash at like 22-23 secs?

  • @dvkillz1 Hi,that was camera flash from someone beside me.Thanks.

  • @dvkillz1 Hi,that was camera flash from someone beside me.Thanks.

  • Isn't the fish amazing enough in itself? Does it really need that horrible music in the background?

  • Thanks - I dig cuttlefish and squid, so I watched the entire video :)

  • The music is really awful.. Video's good but I dislike the music more than I like the video..

  • @Yeebok well,I respect your opinion.Thanks for watching.

  • @Yeebok heres a pretty out there way of fixing your problem, it may be a bit dramatic, maybe even unorthodox, but try it and it just may work. turn your volume down. this isnt a music video, its about a flamboyant cuttlefish, the music happens to be flamboyant aswell, so it fits quite nicely. stupid troll

  • @bradleyrhys agreed my friend :)

  • @Yeebok Put it on mute then.

  • The Liberace of the ocean.

  • That's awesome how it can make chasing bands of color!

  • wow, those cuttlefish must be pretty upset to look and act like that

  • the crab mimicry is awesome

  • I think that cuttlefish just wore me out -- just like the song said.

  • Ricky Martin??? Talk about belittling an amazing natural phenomena... Nice to see though.

  • really?... really?... did you really have to put the video to Ricky Martin?

  • there tiny .i can squash them with my pinky

  • Pfeffer's Flamboyant Cuttlefish. (Metasepia pfefferi) I love them so much. They are poisonous (one of only three cephalapods) and are as toxic as the blue ring octopus. I wish they wernt so difficult to take care of. I want one very badly.

  • Glad you like it & many thanks for providing the identification. There are so many amazing living creature in the sea.I would say the more enjoyable & harmless way to appreciate them is at their natural habitat.

  • Comment removed

  • amazing these moving stripes. where is that and what species is it?
