  • i used a reflector, a nikkor 85mm lens at f5.6 and a polarizer filter

  • Did you use artificial lighting or reflectors when you filmed the chickens?

  • that V neck was epic

  • I love this picture style! I use it all the time and color grade with it. I used it for this short film I made with the Canon T2i and I'm very happy with the results.

  • ................

  • First clips is the fucking definition of good quality xD

  • 7000*

  • The Nikon d700 will get the job done actually

  • Very logical indeed.

  • Sorry, no

  • is there a Nikon equivalent of this?

  • hi can you whatch little green bag short movie This short movie is my sons first project as a writer/director.He achived this despite his disabilities and learning difficuilties with the help of actor/director David Hayman and his charity Spirit Aid.This is only the first part of a planned quadrology, and we are currently trying to raise funds to film the other three parts which will create a full length feature and tell me what you think

  • What is this like when filming at night? Are there any particular adjustments that should be made?

  • how do you keep this type of quality after the youtube compression???? whats d secret?

  • im sorry i am new to the canon t2i and its settings, can someone help me how to set the sharpness, contrast, and saturation while in movie mode?

  • The guy on here is a cutie. Call me? lol

  • @dthamm81 looks alone is shallow

  • Not when you deal with a 4.1.0 H264 codec.

  • If you shoot flat, then you have greater control of manipulation in post.

  • canon 5D, nikon lens AIS 85mm f/1.4, Cinema Picture Style

  • @JohnHopeFilms This is so cool!

  • omg wow that was great quality! what kind of camera and lens were used?

  • I suggest sharpness 3, contrast -2, color -3, tone -1, WB bias at taste

  • @JohnHopeFilms good to know thanks

  • @JohnHopeFilms I do sharpness 0 contrast -3 color -3 and tone -1

  • Bought it last week! What a great addition! I shoot if flat and the picture is much more clear and much greater details then with cinestyle or any other picture style! Very impressed. And Color Grading in post is soo much easier and so much less time consuming But was wondering what setting would you recommend for the CINEMA picture stule? Sharpnes? Contrast? Saturation?

  • To avoid blue shadows you have 3 methods:

1 The Cinema PS reacts very interestimgly to wb shifts. You can change the overall temperature without affecting too much th skin tones. So i suggest to use the manual kelvin dial to adjust the blue shadows.

2 As we are in winter, shadows are more blue. You need an UV filter to warmen the shadows.

    3 Use another picture style

  • @JohnHopeFilms Oh yeah this is why blue shadows were jumping! By the way Magic Lantern on T3i does a great job AUTO adjusting white balance with this Codec

  • 5d and nikkor Ais 1.4 lenses

  • To 60d users:

    Instructions: go to this link

    canon-60d-eos.blogspot.com/2011/07/how-to-import-custom-canon-picture.html

  • @JohnHopeFilms the link is broken, can you tell me were can I find the firmware? Thanks!

  • @JohnHopeFilms hey the link must be broken, can't get to it.

  • Wow!, may I ask.. What kind of Camera did you shoot this with? and what lenses were you using? :) Thanks.. Looks amazing

  • For all EOS cameras

  • is this style only for 5Dm 2 ?

  • Nikkor AIS 1.4 85mm clised at 5.6 for the chicken

  • @JohnHopeFilms When I try to install it after I select "Register Defined Style" it wont open the book to find the .pf2... I have a Canon 60D! Help!

  • what actual lens were you using?

  • Strange, i never noticed such noise. Could you specify the camera and how did you convert the file for youtube? Was the footage passed through fcp?

  • I bough it. And found this picture style adds noise artifacts to violets and magentas!!! I uploaded a video where you can see it...

  • @pgmlml But i kinda like the looks, and i will try to correct it (now that i unlocked the picture style)!

  • Wow thank you, i will change them! :)

  • @JohnHopeFilms maybe you've awnsered this before.

Why is there so much blue in the shadows of the image after recording?

And what can I do to avoid this?

Thanks! Your videos are very much something to aspire to.

  • Hey man, amazing picture style that I will definitely get for my t2i! But youtube does allow links, type it including h t t p etc and it'll work fine!

  • No color correction at all.

    There was a reflector.

  • that is amazing there is now color correction. did you use lighting.

  • 5dmkii :)

  • This looks very nice. What was it shot on?

  • looks great!! But really? whats with the dislikes? -_-

  • Youtube doesn't allow links. Google for cinema picture style and my site willbe the #1 cineplus

  • link... Not Found

  • 5D, it is without color correction

  • Is it after of before color correction?

What camera did you use? 5D, 7D, T2i?

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • nice

  • Just google "cinema picture style cineplus"

  • Who cares? This is a clip to show colors, not framing. Go to my site to see how i handle the framing

  • Nobody said that you shouldn't or can't color correct it. Indeed i always color correct my cinema style footage. And the result is amazing

  • The chicken is indeed very sharp, perhaps even too sharp to be called anything Cinema Style but would work great for TV purposes. I like the look but wouldn't pay for it. If you shoot neutral you just color grade on post. ANY serious project is color graded, non only for looks but for exposure sake.

Nice job tho'. Good luck with your work.

  • who are this 7 dildo's who don't like this video?

  • It's all simply plain. Cinema picture style, nikkor 85mm 1.4 lens for the chicken, no color correction. Canon 5dmkii

Light behind the chicken: the sun. In front there is a reflector. The blue background is a mountain in the shadow.

The chicken is alive and really really funny!!!

What else do you need to know?

  • I see.......

  • Why would you put something on YouTube and not say how it's done, looks like someones a greedy bastard, and if your trying to sell let me know I'll buy it from your fucking greedy ass and the give it away to everyone so you don't make shit greedy dumb ass, you think you invented bread or something! Lame!!!!!

  • which lens is this?

  • It was shot with the 5D and old Nikon lenses.

You get the same results with all Canon cameras, even the cheap 60D.

Look for the 60D example and many others in vimeo.

Search for the group CINEMA Picture Style

  • I think this looks GREAT! Amazing sharpness and detail with wonderful colors.

I assume this was shot with a full frame camera like the 5D and a very expensive L-lens, no?

  • This Cinema Picture style is BULLCRAP...it's just a few tweaks of Canons standard preset and this guy is charging $19 for this? That's insane.

  • @TearsGoneUp Bullcrap or not, you have to admit that the image quality is pretty stunning, no?

The footage of the chickens (in 1080P) is quite simply THE sharpest and most detailed video I've ever seen on my 21,5 inch iMac!

  • the link in the video info does not work

  • Dude, mount that camera on something. So shaky.

  • lovely shallow of DOF !

    and gorgeous HD quality.

  • I use his scene files on my XH-A1. he knows how to cook the sensors to make them pop.

  • do you think this is better than cinestyle??

  • I want it!!! lol
