I wish that they didn't smash these cars, but they were all probably going to go to the crusher anyway so you should just enjoy it well you can. My favorite cars here are 14- 1975 chrysler newport, 36- 1967 chrysler newport, 61- 1967 dodge polara, .08 1976 chrysler new yorker, 87- 1976 chrysler new yorker, 58- 1958 chevy, 666- 1967 oldsmobile 98, 911- 1967 lincoln continental, 1- 1967 plymouth fury, 175- 1970 chevy impala. i also like the paintjobs of this demolition derby.

The funniest thing about demo derbies is reading or hearing irate comments from car enthusiasts that a certain model was destroyed. It's not like these cars are cherry. They were most likely already in a scrap yard and it's fun to see them go out in this fashion.
wow some nice cars.the thing with everybody mad about the cars being wrecked is that most are for sale for anybody to buy. just so happens a derby guy got it. i ran a 65 plymouth fury 2 yrs ago. that was for sale on a main highway for 2 months before i stopped and got it. i did have the brains to sell everything i stripped off of it on ebay.
Do the people who complain about these cars getting trashed go to movies? I saw a movie today where in the first 5 minutes, two Chevelle Super Sports were destroyed and it did nothing to add to the plot, just destruction of two great cars. If I had some of these cars, I'd run them in a derby if they had a rust problem and were beyond restoration. Its better than just crushing them.
at least over in the midwest we use old junked up cars(a little like 119) and not pristeen cars (like every other car in there).

The funniest thing about demo derbies is reading or hearing irate comments from car enthusiasts that a certain model was destroyed. It's not like these cars are cherry. They were most likely already in a scrap yard and it's fun to see them go out in this fashion.

wow some nice cars.the thing with everybody mad about the cars being wrecked is that most are for sale for anybody to buy. just so happens a derby guy got it. i ran a 65 plymouth fury 2 yrs ago. that was for sale on a main highway for 2 months before i stopped and got it. i did have the brains to sell everything i stripped off of it on ebay.

Do the people who complain about these cars getting trashed go to movies? I saw a movie today where in the first 5 minutes, two Chevelle Super Sports were destroyed and it did nothing to add to the plot, just destruction of two great cars. If I had some of these cars, I'd run them in a derby if they had a rust problem and were beyond restoration. Its better than just crushing them.

at least over in the midwest we use old junked up cars(a little like 119) and not pristeen cars (like every other car in there).
come to MN (or really anywhere else but ^) around the end of july or begining of august and you will see what our cars look like and sound like and if you want, hit like.
