I decided to compliment before saying anything that might be insulting. Good job! It's a neat slideshow, funny at points, and an excellent rendition of the song.
And the irony is, the picture up at "simple" equations is actually the equation used to find the zeros (in which y=0) of "quadratical" equations. And that he can whistle a fugue, which consists of multiple voices xD.
When they find me laying on the ground in a pool of blood, pistol in hand and a smirk on my face, this great tune will be playing on repeat. Our law enforcement community would appreciate a good laugh.
I love all the stealthy jokes they slipped in here. This is a brilliant song. :) I think my goal over this summer is going to be to memorise it; I'm not an actor by any means but it's just such an incredibly fun, challenging song! :)
We're doing this for a play in my school and my boyfriend is the Major General. He loves this song haha. He can go faster than he supposed to... haha. I'm Mabel!
The Major General this was based on, ironically enough, loved this song. He would sing it to amuse his family at parties and family events. It was the Viscount Garnet Wolseley who Sir Arthur Sullivan and Sir William Gilbert based Maj. Genl. Stanley on.
WARNING!!!!!! LISTEN TO THIS SONG WITH CAUTION! THE SONG CAN CAUSE ONE TO WHISTLE, PAT A FOOT, OR HUM FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME, WHICH IS GERERALLY FROWNED UPON DURING A BUSINESS MEETING, COURT PROCEEDINGS, OR LATE NIGHT INTIMACY.
Haha I had to sing it in a play to! It wasn't for Pirates of Penzance thought we did out own little play and stuck this song in. Its really easy once you work at it and then you sing it everywhere and impress people lol
@supernole100 You know, I should have pointed out that I have been in a busness meeting, and court proceedings, but it's been a long dry spell on that last thing.
I am trying out for this part in my school play, we are making it very funny so girls are allowed to play guy parts. Alothough I am the only girl going for a guy part but oh well. I am sining this sogn for the tryouts. . . oh jeeze
Very well put together. George Rose's performance of this role is the best you'll find anywhere. I'm glad he lived in a time when it could be properly captured.
