Awesome video and very innovative. Most videos of hospitals I've searched have had a more serious tone to it as opposed to here where it looks as if people are really passionate about their work.
As an RN MSN from San Francisco who passed his boards some months ago, I would be honored to at the very least get an interview here. Sounds like the kind of environment I'd like to be a part of as my first job as an RN.
bwahahahahaha...I'm rotating through Hillcrest right now. I was wondering what all the commotion was about while I and the other 3rd year MS's were being oriented to Hillcrest. Cool!
We showed this video to our entire team yesterday and they loved it! As a part of the UC San Diego Health System, I can say I feel privileged and lucky to come to work with such amazing nurses . You give new meaning to the term "nurses rock". Bravo . Josh (on behalf of the entire clinical systems IT team!)
I have to say that I can't think of a better place for RNs to work in San Diego. The video shows perfectly how much we LOVE the U and take PRIDE in our work. Happy Magnet Journey..and remember we could not have done this without all the UCSD Nurses..because we are simply the best.!!!!
What a fantastic group of nurses! They give of themselves every day to help heal our families, friends, and community. It's so nice to see them take a minute to celebrate their dedication and success. Good luck on the Magnet Journey!
Go Nurses! Next time you picklepusses want healthcare, go to an Insurance Company or a Wall Street broker. God love the terminally humorless, for they will live forever in bitterness. I've been in Healthcare since 1970. There is no deeper satisfaction than taking care of the mentally or physically ill. And I'm not in it for the money. I can assure you. Beautiful video!
Don't hospitals pay greater than $70K to get Magnet status? How many new graduate nurses did UCSD hire within the last 2 years? How many diploma nurses does UCSD have versus BSNs? Wasn't there a recent lawsuit against UCSD for negligent care of a patient who died?
well of course not Goodone655! This video is a celebration of the many years of hard work and dedication we have gone thru to achieve Magnet status. I'm sorry your experiences at UCSD have not been favorable. I would encourage you to spend time with ANY nurse to see how valuable their contributions are to providing excellent patient care!!
Is this how UCSD Health Care Workers spend their time? This is why I will never go there to get care. It seems like they have a lot of time to be dancing around versus taking care of their patients. Did the guy breakdancing wash his scrubs before taking care of patients again?. Are they really serious with this video?. Lots of clowning around!, not enough professionalism at UCSD.
I work as IS help desk for UCSD Med Center... Great job UCSD Nurses - Congratulations

This is why nurses are not considered professionals. The nurses have too much time dancing on youtube.
