The best live version of this song is when Randy played it on the Randy Rhoads tribute album which was released in 87 I believe. Zaks solo isnt shit on Randys from this song. I like Zak as well but he does too many pinched harmonics which kinda trashed Randys songs he covered. Randy also help write this song and alot of other music from Ozzy.
This is my favorite solo that Randy did. Dang, I wish he hadn't died. I wouldn't even have cared if he'd quit playing metal and done classical music, like he said he might. He was such a good musician, anything he did would have been great.
this song is incredible....here in brazil...my friends and i when we listen to this music is like the moment of glory...it's a very beautifull song,no matter where...
When I was at the last day at my camp, I sang this song. The lyrics fitted perfectly,"Goodbye to romance, yeah, goodbye to friends." and "Tomorrow will I find the sun, or will it rain." It actually rained that they too.
@QueenNothing25 cause he wanted them up there and that is how he wanted to say goodbye to all his fans I know the man personally and he is very cool he is one of the best singers ever!
Iommi, Rhoads, Torme happend before he sent his audition tape. theres no denying though, zakk is talented anyone that diss's him is a moron, just respect that he is actually succesful.
Hahaha, no need to worry guys, that is NOT randy V. The one Zakk plays is a replica. The original still resides in Delores Rhoads home, where it rightfully belongs. And trust me, it is in perfect condition.
Hmmm... not sure. I believe that I read a while back that Randy's family offered Zakk a RR original and others but he declined and took only the V. Stating the others should be donated to Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Last I heard, they were.
Saw Zakk on TV the other day playing with his band for a wrestling show... what pissed me off is he was playing RANDYS polka dot guitar... Sorry that should be in a Hard Rock cafe somewhere...
Yes, actually read somewhere that Randy's family did give that guitar to Zakk. I also read that he was offered others but declined stating that they should be donated to the Rock N Roll hall of fame. They have since been donated.
song is from 1980, concert is 1991 so shut up now

i dont think it's about Randy Rhoads.... Ozzy and Randy wrote this song together... so Randy was still alive when they wrote this song
Daenius 3 years ago 2
randy was still alive.. He couldn't possibly write a song dedicated to himself before he even he died..would he?..
It is about his past with sabbath..

Pretty sure that Zakk's is a copy. Jackson built it especially for him. It's not the original Rhoads one.
