If that is true,then the gradual evolution of Niger to the insulting and denagrating nigger would make obscene sense. For example, I don't give a damn if Eminem says nigga in his rap song, so why should I care if my white friend does? If that is true,then the gradual evolution of Niger to the insulting and denagrating nigger would make obscene sense. It would highlight the complete subdugation of the people in that area, and be a useful tool in the commercial enterprise that is slavery. A more contemporary reference would be the Niger delta,it would make sense to call the people of that area by that name, as it was an easy demarcation, ie I am Spanish, Zulu, Celt, Niger. What we should do is rejuvenate "nigger" so it becomes harmless.
