This is a great live performance by a well rehearsed band. Great original material prevails throughout thier videos posted here, and thier version of "The Kids are Alright" challenges the original. This 70's band should re-unite. They would be welcome here in Nashville.
I have passed on your very nice comment on to The Pleasers. They are thinking about getting together again in the new year to do a couple of gigs in London due to the demand and I'm sure would love to play in Nashville if it could be arranged!
I was glad to see these vids posted as I'd only ever seen photos. Good to hear they may reunite! I had their (import) singles in the 70's, stumbled upon the Thamesbeat CD in the mid nineties, and managed to luck into the Changing Man CD thereafter. I still listen to them all regularly. The band clearly deserved more attention than they received. Perhaps this aspect will be improved nowadays.
Be sure to record and film the gigs! These would make a nice indie release!
Hi, they didn't cancel, The Pleasers were never confirmed a place at the festival, cos I know they would have loved to have performed there. I'm sure if the right gig came along they would seriously consider it, even just for fun...
been looking for these buggers for years!!!! saw them on telly once back in the 70s ... loved their set!
