ya, playin black opps it vents like a bitcch and has a mad reading disk noise, its wired, but i heard its normal

USE AN EXTERNAL COOLING SOURCE! If it gets hot, use a cold fan. But i have one problem. When i put mw2 in my ps3, the sound it makes when it goes in, you know which sound im talking about. The click. Anyway, when mw2 makes that noise, it make another louder, and it doesnt load! I dont think its the disc, but help?

Sony says noise is normal, but when i offered them to make a demo with this pos and the new 2504 they refused. IMO they already know the diffrence.

hey fellas update, i gave this pos to sony refunded, got a new cech2504b... it makes 10x less noise than this. This series are faulty.

My ps3 slim is really really loud. Its much louder than my gaming pc which has an overclocked Phenom II @3.8 and 2 5870's.. Hard to believe. I really cant even use it for movies at all unless my room temperature is in the upper 60's to low 70's any higher and it sounds like a jet engine and I am not that fussy about sound... I have had loud pc's before but this system is ridiculous.

my 80gb ps3 is as loud as a hoover so after seeing everybodys comments and reading 20+ reviews on the ps3 slim i'll be trading in my ps3 for the slim!

i know man my slims loud like that when i put my ear nezt to it and when im like a metre away i can hear it when the tv is mute, but judging from the comments below its normal so im happy.

Ugh, my PS3 Slim has that annoying high pitch sound too. But the fan is quiet, it berly throws out air

Your PS3 is just warm. It's normal.

That's not that loud. My original design PS3 40GB runs way louder than that at times.
