San Diego Airport Landings - watch your head!

I've been to San Diego. Next time I'm looking for that area. Thanks for the tip!

I love that airport... one to my favorite sounds is hearing the wheels touching down (safely) after flying from Dubai to Atlanta(15 1/2 hours)...then Atlanta to SAN(5 hours)!!!!!

It looks worse from the ground than than the air. I recall waking in the neighbourhood seveal times when I lived in La Jolla.

@karthikkito smart people engineers to gain money because land is being takin up and they build where ever they can, why was the Allstate Arena in Chicago where the AHL chicago wolves, Depaul and Indoor football Rush built across from the OP'hare airport. Because it was a good area to build an arena. Even though the roof collapsed..

everybody has said that about this airport for years. well. it is the busiest single runway airport (I think) and I dont believe there has ever? been a major accident at the airport on landing or take of. If Im wrong Im sure somebody will let me know.

There was a major accident in 1978 when a PSA Flight 182 collided with a cessna and crashed in North Park. But it wasn't because of the steep landing window at Lindbergh airport. It was because aircraft relied visual separation of aircraft at that time and both aircraft were likely pitched at an anglw where they didn't see each other.

@sellingon in the 70's ( i think ) a plane crashed into a neighborhood before landing. Mid air collision with a cesna.
