It would have been very difficult for the Catholic church to use the same days as that would have shown them directly denouncing Pagan traditions, it was better to have another day close by and try and slowly convert people over. Dec 25th was said to be a day to celebrate the rebirth of the Sun God.

I'm so happy God opened me and my family's eyes to this celebration. Satan loves to do things subtily. He won't outright make things look evil, he'll dress it up as something good. It's a cozy tradition, sure, but only a tradition of men, not of God. If He wanted His Son's birthday to be celebrated, He would have told us the exact day. Since He didn't, why do we celebrate it? Early Christians actually didnt keep track of when Christ was born, and so did not celebrate it. It was not until about 200 AD that his birth was estimated to be around March or April. Possibly May 20th. But it wasnt until the 4th century that Dec 25 was chosen to celebrate Christ's birth. Again, to bring some goodness into an otherwise depraved day of celebration.
Is it biblical? No. Does it honor God? I think so. As long as the focus is to honor and spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

I grew up in the 60s and I always thought it was interesting to see how many holidays Christians celebrated in the spirit of Christianity, that had no biblical reference or rule. Matter of fact, I'm not aware of any rule, or even suggestion, about observing Christ's birthday, day of death, or even the day of the resurrection. Yet for other days of importance, and observance, we are given exact dates. What was He trying to tell us?

If you think about it, for any day the Bible calls a "day of observance", you can go back in history and verify the very day it first happened. Actually you are quite wrong. Herodian Pottery from before 70 A.D. was found in the Jerusalem, Ophel area in 2006. And it clearly shows that it was inhabited before, and after 70 A.D. As far as "Jesus never existed", I did a lot of research on that one too. I was a BIG skeptic! I found out you don't even have to be a Christian to win that argument. Non Christian data convinced me.

We do not know the exact day of Yahushua Messiahs birth, however the Word makes it clear it occurred during the week of the Feast of Trumpets- befitting considering His second coming will be at the last Trumpet again. Anyone proclaiming to be a believer should know the Word. In Matthew, the time frame for His birth is shown in the birth of John the Baptist and his parents of whom his father was of the Levitical priesthood- KNOW the Jewish calendar, there is a lot of truth there!

The pagans were celebrating and awaiting NATURAL events like the winter solstice, they had trouble describing it since they were noobs in science so they made all these symbols to feel secure. There is nothing evil in it. For example the tree decoration in the house was a symbol of reminding the northern europeans of a good harvest in the end of winter. Or lighting of candles and yule log to inspire their sun god, mithra.

Right on, Christmas is Pagan and as Christians, we should have nothing to do with it! But if you tell that to a Christian, they'll bash you. Birthdays are pagan, and it was Herod (the pagan King) that observed birthdays. God never told us to observe Christ's birthday, and his birthday was back around late summer/early fall (September-ish). I used to say "keep Christ in Christmas" but now I don't think He'd want His name in it. It is Baal-mas.

@lifeseeker51 Actually the Pagan festival is Yule, December 21st. As with all the Pagan festivals you'll notice that none of the Christian celebrations fall on the same dates but around those dates. It would have been very difficult for the Catholic church to use the same days as that would have shown them directly denouncing Pagan traditions, it was better to have another day close by and try and slowly convert people over. Dec 25th was said to be a day to celebrate the rebirth of the Sun God.

I'm so happy God opened me and my family's eyes to this celebration. Satan loves to do things subtily. He won't outright make things look evil, he'll dress it up as something good. It's a cozy tradition, sure, but only a tradition of men, not of God. If He wanted His Son's birthday to be celebrated, He would have told us the exact day. Since He didn't, why do we celebrate it? Satan is very clever. He knows we like to gather together and be merry, and he's using that to his advantage.

Early Christians actually didnt keep track of when Christ was born, and so did not celebrate it. It was not until about 200 AD that his birth was estimated to be around March or April. Possibly May 20th. But it wasnt until the 4th century that Dec 25 was chosen to celebrate Christ's birth. Again, to bring some goodness into an otherwise depraved day of celebration.
Is it biblical? No. Does it honor God? I think so. As long as the focus is to honor and spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

Romans 14 is talking about esteamed things among believers. why would paul say in Acts 21:25 to not eat food sacrificed to idols. What is the difference if you bless it? This is a good video LAZ.....I can't believe I've never seen it. I grew up in the 60s and I always thought it was interesting to see how many holidays Christians celebrated in the spirit of Christianity, that had no biblical reference or rule. Matter of fact, I'm not aware of any rule, or even suggestion, about observing Christ's birthday, day of death, or even the day of the resurrection. Yet for other days of importance, and observance, we are given exact dates. What was He trying to tell us?

I mean....you think maybe He saw all this pagan celebrating in the future and thought He'd just nip it in the bud right from the get-go? If you think about it, for any day the Bible calls a "day of observance", you can go back in history and verify the very day it first happened. But in the birth, death, or resurrection of Christ, no exact dates are given and there is no rule to keep those days holy. It's good to see a Christian doing Christian things and telling some Christian truth. Salute!

There is nothing wrong if you like living in a world of false dogma. Constantine infused many Pagan calibrations such as Lent and Easter. (Estor the goddess of rebirth and renewal.) Even the title Christ comes from Latin meaning Crisco or oil. (origins of sex worship). It is not likely Jesus of Nazareth ever existed (Especially since no object in Nazareth has been dated earlier than 100AD. )

Actually you are quite wrong. Herodian Pottery from before 70 A.D. was found in the Jerusalem, Ophel area in 2006. And it clearly shows that it was inhabited before, and after 70 A.D. As far as "Jesus never existed", I did a lot of research on that one too. I was a BIG skeptic! I found out you don't even have to be a Christian to win that argument. Non Christian data convinced me.

Actual time-frame for Yahushuas birth was end of Sept to beginning of Oct- within a weeks time. It certainly was not not Dec 25 which is the b-day of Tammuz, son of the sun-god. Whom are you really worshipping?

Whether or not Jesus was born on Christmas day, it is the day that we celebrate his birth because we do not actually know when he was born.

The bible never says that we are allowed to comment videos either, doesn't mean its wrong.
The commandements of God say that you should love one another, i don't think birthdays or Christmas really intervene in them, infact both of them encourage people to give to others.
Any occasion which encouragous good deeds and worships for the the God of Jesus is a blessed day. Whether it was given by man or by God.

Even Jesus himself said that once he died it wouldn't matter where or when we worship him.
Anybody who truthfully loves God will be worthy of heaven, the days you choose to worship him are of little importance aslong as it is focused on him and does not include any other God. (unlike the people of Jerusalem in the day, where some worshipped Baal and other gods alongside God himself)

We do not know the exact day of Yahushua Messiahs birth, however the Word makes it clear it occurred during the week of the Feast of Trumpets- befitting considering His second coming will be at the last Trumpet again. Anyone proclaiming to be a believer should know the Word. In Matthew, the time frame for His birth is shown in the birth of John the Baptist and his parents of whom his father was of the Levitical priesthood- KNOW the Jewish calendar, there is a lot of truth there!
