Paul brookes the drummer smokes on this. The drums are awesome. Very good technique. Too bad that technique like this is no longer appreciated among Death metal fans. It doesn't have to be insane like BrainDrill or Origin to be good. Old school Death metal will never die.

I admire the music of Bjorn and Benny (ABBA), Paul and John (the Beatles), Chuck and Death, the various folks in Napalm Death, and the piano concertos of Rachmaninov. I think Dismember, Entombed and more Swedish Oriented bands are better examples to come out of that country. I don't consider those bands Melodic Death at all because there isn't anything "death" about them. Dismember have a ballence which is important. The other's don't.

yeah I can agree on that, theres mostly never any death in it. (exceptions ofcourse). the reason I think is because that its being played technically the same way as death metal, but often with "softer" sound. hard to describe, but im sure you know what I mean. Yeah I know what you mean, it's not quite selling out, and it's not quite doing what you want either. It's simply changing the bands format to increase their fanbase and make their music more comercial for a wider audience. Instead of doing the respectful thing and doing a side project or changing the band's name.
