Great song, and reminds me of Co. Clare. I wish I was back there. Well done! It's a song of homesickness and longing. How often we all dream of going home, but we've gone too far from our own Co. Clare's, to where we are now, metaphorically alone, with our Jameson and our music.

I think you misunderstand me elvendance, whilst I agree that he is a great singer I was commenting on the fact that clare to here is a song that sounds better when sung by an irish person as the accent very much adds to the soul of the song. His english accent envelopes the song a bit much..sorry

The one and only time I had a chance to hear Ralph Mctell in person was at the Langelands Festival in Denmark in 2004. And I'll never forget it. Even though the audience wanted a back-to-back version of "Streets of London" it was a memorable occasion. Ralph McTell is one of the best performers of our time.
