AS AS VOCAL MEMBER OF SOUTHWEST VOCAL ENSEMBLE, WE HAD LOTS OF THINGS AGAINST US,

FIRST, TIME

SECOND, SOUND , AND THIRD DISCIPLINE

we practiced the soong like 15 or 20 minutes before going on stage, plus the sound equipment was totally horrible, we still have to work on dynamics, but in a big choir , where u sing the song u practiced 20 min before going on stage with people that u dont even know their tessitura and their range, u couldnt ask for more!

There's this little thing that we like to call "dynamic contrast". Use it. You guys are TOO loud throughout the whole thing and wayyyyyy too heavy. You guys would have been amazing if you were singing instead of shouting.

excuse me first of all we do know about dynamics but there are over 60 ppl on stage and over 10 years of singer. second the sound was horrible plus the class of 06 is SUPER hyper so that doesnt help and we havent seen some of those ppl in years. we practiced for the first time for that song 20 minutes b4 we went on stage. obviously u think u can do better but i dont see u singing. its different when u sing with ppl that uve never sang with.

You guys still should have known not to go that fast, which i had forgot to mention. I understand the hyper thing. Like I said before, you guyd would have been good if you weren't shouting and were a little quiter. And btw, I do sing this song every year in a select choir that's known all over the state. So, i'm thinkin we're pretty good. We make people cry. This just made me close my ears....

But... do you really make them feel? They cry because it sounds good. Do you express your passion well enough for your audience to FEEL what you are saying in the words of the song?

I agree. this is a very fast arrangement and they should hve been more sensitive to dynamics.

Yes, we do make people "FEEL". We get so many compliments about it every year and this song is what our choir group is known for. I don't think that this performance of yours made people "FEEL" much. I understand that you just went over it but did i say anything about not knowing the song? I was talking about style. A true performer will always have good style regaurdless of how well they know the song.

Rushing is natural when you're excited but that was a little beyond rushing...and it still didn't have to be so loud
