Yes I am. I believe much of the Bible (Genesis included) is meant to taken as metaphor, and not literal.

I went to a creation-ish private high school (could have been worse, my Mom could have taught me biology), where Darwin's finch observations were held up for ridicule as mere variation as any generation would show. But were these finches reproductively isolated based on geography and beak shape?

the darwin finches are all different species.

when the first finches arrived there, there were no other birds, the whole ecosystem was open to them. the fact that there are several different small islands probarbly helped speciation. some went nocturnal. some specialized on special food. you dont necessarily need geographic isolation, look at the rainforest. if some of the birds eat fruits from one kind of tree and build their nests there, that can also lead to seperation.

Your video is fallacious. Most of those mutations involve a LOSS of information not a gain as needed in macro evolution. The "new species" you mentioned are not new anything, one is a mosquito and the other a flower. This is exactly what the bible said, they will produce after their "kind". Get your science facts straight before presenting false claims.
