Delivered 10 (ten) budget surpluses eliminating 96 bil of labour debt.

Delivered the lowest (LOWEST) unemployment rate in over 25 years...

The idea that Howard and Costello somehow *created* the Economic conditions that led to budget surpluses is a myth - or a blatant lie. Budget surpluses are not responsible for a booming economy, but rather, the result of a booming economy. Australian business make loads of money, which in turn earned the goverment humungous sums of money, which it never spent - and hey presto - there is your budget surplus! Oh yes - they were amazing (ahem) 'managers' of the economy!!!

I was so enraged by this story at that time. I thought I had a difference in opinion on a range of issue. Despite having concerns about Tampa incident, I thought Howard was acting in the best interest of Australia, even if it was to be used for a political advantage.

However, when the truth about Children Overboard incident came out, he LIED about children for his political gain. He USED children for his lies!

I respect your right to put your concern forward however, Australia has over 14,500km of coast-line, many of which cannot be patrolled 24hrs around the clock.
