For our young people to drop out of school, have babies out of wedlock, and sing songs like Crank That. We NEED to have more programs like this so that young people can APPRECIATE where they came from. Sometimes in order to live truly free today we have to look back.
"Third Verse, same as the first"....All the 'old' members of the 'movement' just want young black people to give a damn. What is unfortunate for them is that young black people don't care. Young people are pulled into the past and forcefed the struggle which should be only a lecture in history class. This program is just fueling the fire and passing on black racism. She says it at 5:23, "Race Pride". The 'struggle' was over long ago. African Americans, stop looking back and live free TODAY!
