With a special attack stat of 180, and psycho boost's strength being around 140 (not including STAB), I can see why rayquaza would take some serious damage very quickly... but true, Rayquaza should've faired better than it did.

@ADPisTV Actually, it depends on what forme Deoxys is in. For instance, if Deoxys is in Speed forme, it wouldn't have the atk. or def. power to stop Rayquaza. However, atk. forme has the power and quite a bit of speed to take out Rayquaza. In def. forme, Rayquaza couldn't even scratch Deoxys.

He can switch between attack, defense, speed etc in a second... not doubting you, just saying Deoxy's is a seriously powerful opponent.

@UltraGamer91 not really. rayquaza has to be more powerful. in the movie, he just got madder and madder at deoxys. he never went down. and deoxys sometimes tried to escape from rayquaza. at the end deoxys was lucky for rayquaza to have been smashed by a thousand robots before he got him. if that wasnt the case, deoxys would have been ripped apart. but i must say, deoxys is pretty tough to have enough power to take on a major legendary pokemon.

Deoxys also would win. plus even though rayquaza had a death wish for deoxys, deoxys saved his life. but first of all, Deoxys seriously pwns rayqyuaza. 1 phsyco boost would end it. Rayquaza was wasting all of his energy on blindly fired hyper beams, and ice beams. Deoxys keeps evading and regenerating and making hits on rayquaza. eventually rayqyaza would have been defeated.

@MrViperwolf changing forms isn't cheating but unique to each pokemon like a ditto or a castform. I think deoxys is actually one of the first legendary pokemon that can freely change forms before the legendary giratina who changes forms in his own dimension.

and i know fans of rayquaza find it hard to believe that the strongest legendary dragon pokemon is defeated a mere form changing alien cause i am one of rayquaza's fan too but believe or not, he got pwn in this video by deoxys : /
