  • brilliant...already a classic. just different planet if you compare it to average american rap record, higher level...

  • true hip-hop at its finest...gotta cop this album

  • haha no dislikes after 2ok+ views yeah nigga

  • IM AVERAGE AS FUCK blu is IT.

  • I'm upset that not one of my music friends told me how dope this album was. Not ONE of them. So mad.

  • @badboi0717 umadbro? jk. probably their best/second best album. i only say that because theyve made it almost 20 years by doing the same thing - solid live beats, and conscious lyrics with meaning. radio could take a lesson from this and do more.

  • Amazing.

  • BLUUUUUUUU

  • i just want 2 thank everybody for checkin this video out and recognizing REAL Music i Lov seeing the discussions in the comments please keep them coming and for those of you who checked out the blog & twitter you might have noticed that we've been down for a couple of months now but we are working hard @relaunching better then ever really soon

  • The way this dude sings is so subtle - the complete opposite of some of the modern divas with their histrionics and "oh baby" bullshit.

    Best album in ages.

  • Who does the chorus on this song?

  • @TheEazyDuzIt95 dice raw

  • honestly this album deserves album of the year for the grammy's

  • @mj23j3tt

    most definitely

  • Anyone notice that The Roots is the longest rap "band" (not just group) that has existed in Hip Hop? Since 93 and still going!!!

  • @caliguy51021

De La Soul has existed way longer. Roots might be 2nd tho.

  • @caliguy51021 don't be fooled. '87 bruh lol

  • The music is good. No bad words in the lyrics.

  • For all that is good left in Hip Hop... This track needs some awards.

Black Thought, Blu, P.O.R.N., and Dice Raw, with ?love on the drums, what does that spell? I-N-S-T-A-N-T C-L-A-S-S-I-C.

  • The Roots the old style and the new their still one of the best hiphop groups I've ever heard. I've been feeling these guys since 1995 andf they creativity never ceases to amaze me. This is another stunning tune long may they continue to making music that make yours soul sing and your feet groove. xx

  • @angelmel29 AMEN MAN!

  • Damn. P.O.R.N can actually rap good

  • If "Cool" was a song it would sound like this.

  • @camelface1 there is a song called the cool. lupe sucka

  • @camelface1 there is a song called the cool. lupe sucka

  • Finally copped something Blu's featured on.

He should re-release Below The Heavens. It'll sell a ton.

Whole album's dope, glad i bought it.

  • 1 of best on da album!

  • I'm in love with this. This is music at it's best, feeling it flow through you. Just amazing.

  • after three tracks I think it's safe to say this is the Roots' take on Atmosphere's album "When life gives you lemons..."

does no one else want to appear on Roots albums but P.O.R.N. or Dice Raw anymore?

  • @jdskinny212 The album's great, listen to more than 3 tracks.

And their last album had Mos Def, Common, Styles P......who cares?

The guest fit the album well. Dice Raw's basically a "Root" and has been for 15 years, and Phonte and Blu are 2 of the best rappers today. Putting them on the album was dope, and they did their thing and added to the album in a positive way.

  • @OCUSA truueee blu dosent get that much hype but he's a perfect fit with the roots

  • @Aztek4611 HE GETS HYPE ON THE WEST I'M SURE

  • @nyse41685 im sure he does but when ever i mention his name out here people give me a dumb look and say who? shits sad yo

  • Usually I don't love P.O.R.N, but he ripped his verse on this one.

  • I'm lovin that bass-line.

  • @whoiscarlito As good as anything Hub ever played if I may say so myself.

  • @oRuTRa45 are you reffering to Freddie Hubbard?

  • @jacksoncrockett No, sir. @whoiscarlito commented that he loved the bassline. I agreed like a mug. By Hub I was referring to Leonard "Hub" Hubbard, the original from The Roots. The bassline is so dope that I think it's as good as anything he had played with them.

  • BLU!!

nothing else needs to be said....

except maybe, go and BUY this album, one of the best records the roots have ever put out IMO...

  • @ezwelchman i agree my friend!!

    one man from the bay!

  • love it. love it anytime. all the time.

  • This is how Hip Hop should sound like. Live, real, it's all in the funk. Nothing is auto tuned. Pure art. Legendary.

  • Good music always. Not about the money with them. Support real music

  • They did it again. The Roots Crew FTW! Each time they reinforce why they will be remembered as legendary pioneers of music, especially when our current music industry is defunct and bunk as fuck.
