Failed russian planes? I don't think so, the planes had nothing failed but its pilot. Actually late cold war and modern russian planes overall performance are better than the US's. With good pilots flies russian plane at same generation and role as the US's they can bring those high tech crap down easily. T50 production will be less than 42M$, with much better performances and fiability as usual with russian planes. You can say things, but you will never beat the french Mirage 2000 and the Mig21 to 29 in lifetime, due to the kleenex country you are living in :)....
A 5th gen aircraft cant be that cheap. As per Sukhoi, it currently costs 89 million $. But I am sure it will touch 100 and by the time it rolls into production in the year 2015 into the air forces of RuAf and IAF, it would have increased by another 20. So a cost apiece of 120 million $ is very likely.

All stealth planes have similarities because to obtain stealth the aircraft needs to have a certain shape. In the PakFa you can see some similarities with YF-23, Mig-1.44, SU-27 series and F-22. The PakFa is a perfect blend of features of these planes and still has it's own character. Lots of character in fact!

Just to make some more exact thing: supermaneuvrability, that is ability to operate above so called critical angles and keep up the aircraft control without stalling, was reached by soviet planes without changeable thrust engines, maneuvres like cobra and kulbit were performed on Su with standard engines in early 90-s, and Cobra even in 1989. that really means that raptor doesn't have bonus in this parameter over russian craft

It can't be of a less operational abilities just for the reason, that Raptor was already closely reached by maneuvreability by Russian 4++ jets, plus the fact that Raptor is already near 15 years old design and materials, electronics, engines have changed through this time. T-50 also has wider compartments for weaponry.

A 5th gen aircraft cant be that cheap. As per Sukhoi, it currently costs 89 million $. But I am sure it will touch 100 and by the time it rolls into production in the year 2015 into the air forces of RuAf and IAF, it would have increased by another 20. So a cost apiece of 120 million $ is very likely.

This thing has nothing in common with the YF23, the wings on the 23 are trapezoidal these are, the of the 23 looks like a U2 and the T50 doesnt, the cockpit glass, the engines, the tails are different in looks and design, and even if it did look stolen from the YF23, the USAF did evaluate the YF22 AND the YF23 and admitted the YF23 airframe was more stealthy than the YF22, so i guess it would be a good thing, even though it doesnt resemble the YF23

Thats not even a production model F-18. That one has been modified with thrust vectoring. It does things that no other F-18 can do.
So, not only can you not compare the F-18 to the F-22 and SU-27 variants.....you also cannot compare the production model F-18 to the F-18 HARV.

So what....Your F-18 does not fit this definition. Its cobra manuever is not even a true cobra. Instead the F-18 is simply capable of extreme slow flight, by just balancing its weight with the absolute minimal weight required to remain airborn. This in itself requires the aircraft to hold a high angle of attack. The aircraft has not done anything considered "aerodynamically impossible."
You cannot, equate, its flight characteristics to the F-22 or SU-27 variants.

No, the F-18 is not capable of supermanueverability. Sure it can do a cobra during an air show, but only as a low speed pass. It cannot in any way, come remotely close to the manuever capabilities of the SU-27 variants.
Sure the F-15 has high thrust/weight ratio...the SU-27 variants have an even higher ratio. This is also evident in aircraft operations on board Russian carrier ships

they do have the improved version of the R-73M, the R-74M.
it is also speculated that it will carry R-77M and ramjet variants (which would be like the European Meteor project, intended for anti AWACS/TANKER missions).
Most sutff is classified, so i wouldn't be able to say if there's anything new on this plane, but hey, they did add an AESA antenna and brand new Saturn AL-41F1A engines.
Anyhow, i don't see this aircraft entering production before 2012, so i wouldn't worry that much about it.

Well, first of all here COBRA was mentioned not as an effective maneuver in a real dogfight but as a description of Russian SU jet flights to maintain the controlled flight in critical angles and speed. Thus F-22 is anyway the first USA fighter capable for supermanueverability, while Russian jets could boast that feature for almost 20 years already

You never know if all the future air battles are going to be BVR. In fact if you know a bit about history you would know that F-4 in the earlier versions were only fitted with ATA missiles because it was believed that dogfight was over, later they implement a cannon for dogfighting. Because of using the whole vertical tailplanes as rudders the PakFa is more efficient and has less drag. It makes the PakFa better in extreme manoeuvering and it gives the PakFa a better turn radius and better spin control!
If you compare them with the F-22 you will see that PakFa's vertical tailplanes are smaller because of using the whole vertical tailplane as a rudder. This is the first fighter ever to use this kind of vertical tailplane/rudder!

All stealth planes have similarities because to obtain stealth the aircraft needs to have a certain shape. In the PakFa you can see some similarities with YF-23, Mig-1.44, SU-27 series and F-22. The PakFa is a perfect blend of features of these planes and still has it's own character. Lots of character in fact!

Just to make some more exact thing: supermaneuvrability, that is ability to operate above so called critical angles and keep up the aircraft control without stalling, was reached by soviet planes without changeable thrust engines, maneuvres like cobra and kulbit were performed on Su with standard engines in early 90-s, and Cobra even in 1989. that really means that raptor doesn't have bonus in this parameter over russian craft

Actually, it's not the first stealth experement. sope stealt parts were used on experimental su-47 and mig 1.33. Some stealt is used on su-35 too, bu this is the first completly stealth plane in russia.

It can't be of a less operational abilities just for the reason, that Raptor was already closely reached by maneuvreability by Russian 4++ jets, plus the fact that Raptor is already near 15 years old design and materials, electronics, engines have changed through this time. T-50 also has wider compartments for weaponry.
