Hey! Adam here. Maybe you're not "familiar" with the song, Tenderly. Tommy specifically requested that I "improvise" i.e. make up a solo, but that he would play the original melody of the song. You have good ears and heard that he played the melody, but maybe were'nt aware of the song structure (melody - solo - melody) he wanted.

i'm a huge tommy fan. and when adam played his first lead in the melody i was in 'criticism mode' looking to see how he could possibly not match up to tommy's voice in this song. i would like to say i was blown away as cliched as it may sound but id rather say i was "touched" by adam's improv. it was splendid and immaculate in its own right. tommy played with much reverence to the original melody and adam complemented it perfectly with such scintillating indviduality in his musical voice. lovely
