If you've just discovered this band and this song, and love it, I highly recommend you get their albums - "Rocket From The Crypt - Hot Charity/Cut N Play, Rocket From The Crypt - All Systems Go 2, Rocket From The Crypt - Scream Dracula Scream."
Then buy all of these other excellent albums that Speedo "the lead singer" had a hand in as lead songwriter or co-writer - "The Sultans - Shipwrecked, Hot Snakes - Audit In Progress, Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime, The Night Marchers - See You In Magic."
SO SWEET. OMG. And to think of Mental Teleprosy, Built to Spill, Cracker and other bands...I was so into Rocket From the Crypt when I used to DJ for WOXY 97x BAM the future of rock and roll back in the day. Awesome version of this song too. Sweet stage presence and crowd enjoyment.
It definitely sounds different from the cd but it looks like a great show. The energy and the performance given is what makes a live show work even if the sound is a bit subpar
at least the band gives a damn about showing up and try to sound different live. I would be kicking myself if i knew that i band would sound exactly like a cd live.
@msininism ...that would have to be the sax player...apollo 9 (paul o'beirne)...he's a SD area HS teacher...he teaches project management and something else, like marketing or some other fairly weird and college-ish classes for HS.
Too bad this recording isn't very good. Search YouTube for another version of it.. Sounds much much better in person.. not when you're listening to a funky half-ass live recording. :)
Either way, thanks for sharing and adding to the pool of anonymous Youtube hate ^_^
Different music for different people. So people like rap, some people would rather stab themselves in the groin than listen to rap. To each his own...
@noodle654 re: most bands sucking live...just take a listen to mike patton's tomahwk, or, well...rocket from the crypt. nofx used 2 be good live, sure they still are. also---fugazi was great live...fishbone...tool...alice in chains WAS great live when layne was alive...
i can certainly not disagree with any of the comments written here

If you think they suck, it's probably easy for me to say that you probably listen to your shitty Fall Out Boy and Good Riddance bands.
This was probably one of the first RFTC songs I heard, and it got me addicted to them. :)
The world needs more bands like RFTC.
