I've been an associate at my store for 6 years now, and I can honestly say it's a company with great work ethics and customer care. I'm going to re-post this on my facebook so some of my co-workers can watch it too!! ;P
@LordZeonidas I don't need to shut anything the fuck up- and it's nothing like slavery- Hell, the main reason I love my job as much as I do is because working there they treat you like human beings- and you're not just an employee ID number, you're a person with a name- and the company themselves have rules in place the protect the rights of it's employees. Now Walmart?? There's your legalized slavery......
@4EverWinglessAngel1 My district of 13 stores has an average of 4 employees quiting a week. I worked there for 2 years and can honestly say it was the worse job ive ever had. Dont believe me look it up online and you can see stories of the way family dollar treats its employees its horrible. The people in upper management take payroll away until the store manager has to pull 80 hour weeks every week and only get paid for 52. You must work in corporate and be blind to all this.
@LordZeonidas Well, you must be in a bad district then- The area I work in hardly ever has a turnover in empolyees- managers that have been with the company 10 years or more, same with cashiers. And NO I do not work in corporate- I am an associate. And I've been with the company now for 6 years and know all about budgeting and payroll- the store I work at functions off 5 employees including the manager, two assistants, and two cashiers (including myself)-
@LordZeonidas .It is a fast pace job, but I love my job, my customers, my co-workers, and even corporate. Like I said, you just must've worked in a bad district- but that doesn't mean Family Dollar as a whole is not a good company. I've seen them be more fair to their employees and rights than a lot of other places, including Walmart. You might have to work harder at Family Dollar, but at least you aren't going to get fired left and right for petty things.
