i found a new way to do this. i use a fork. with jsut a plain metal handle. and i grab the end of my hair then put the fork handle at my roots and wrap the hair around the handle and hold the tip. then i clamp the straightener over it. spray with hairspray. wait 5 seconds, then pull out as fast as possible with a swift flick. :)
