as long you are not julian assange by trying
to expose the secrets on how to copy dvd and cds
on wikileaks but in the 90's you used to get black marketed
movies on tape from hong kong or china where the quality was dire
full of oriental adverts on them i should know i had the street fighter movie one
it had loads of oriental adverts during the whole movie be cautious and dont get
caught just do it for your own use not others.

The software is illegal to distribute or manufacture. Its legal to use. The judges ruling was kind of weird in this regard.

At best the judge probably should have said you can not copy dvds that have copy protection software. At least from my understanding of what CSS is. As I said from the vid the judge made a ruling of software he/she didn't fully understand.
