  • Your memories will live for ages. I was born a decade after you had gone. Truly you lived before your time, Ne iriek and smart. Shame on those who planned your assassination. You are an inspiration. RIP

  • i am seeing this today,42 years later but i cried.if i can feel this way today, what about those present on that day?the Kiambu mafia hurt us real big.they started this Luo-Kikuyu war and now Njonjo and others are trying to mend fences and tell their people to vote a in Luo.When you teach a community to hate another for 4 decades to change their mind will take a century.those of the kiambu mafia who did this and are alive must come forward and apologise.

  • What a wonderful tribute! I was born after his death but I remember wishing that he had been the President after Kenyatta's death, Kenya would have been light years ahead with him as President. God rest his soul in peace and to those who took his life along with the other great statesmen - i.e. JM Kariuki, Ouko, etc., Judgement day is coming! You can run, but you cannot hide from God!

  • How does the Kenyatta family and the hired thugs' family feel TODAY about this? When people die, is there a chance that they meet up their momentarily before taking different routes? I would like to know what conversation went on when Tom saw his assassins showing up.

The most perplexing thing about Kenya's political assassinations to this very day is that THE PERPETRATORS ARE NEVER IDENTIFIED AND PROSECUTED, clean. Suddenly, everyone becomes confused and mute How about JM Kariuki? want more?

  • An amazing footage! Some of these treasures from your private archives? Do you have any fotos of TJ and CMG together?

  • I lived in Uhuru Estate in Nairobi and I never forget how I had to walk by the house in Jericho estate where Njenga the assasin lives, on my way to primary school everyday, as it was ringed by cops for weeks...

  • Can't stop crying I never forget that afternoon and the days after. All the innocence died.

  • I have apologized to Tom Mboya for being a street walker on a street named after him...Mos ahinya.

  • I shed a tear every time I think of this young man whose promising life was cut short. Shame on his killers.

  • Thank you for adding this video, for giving us and younger people a chance to reflect and appreciate one of our true post independence leaders, and a glimpse into a family rising and suceeding in many fields despite tragedy.Thank you and God bless the Mboya family, your parents continue to be role models to all ages.

  • i was 4 years then come from ukambani and i still feel the loss of such a great statesman, shame on those who divide kenyans on tribal grounds, those who killed mboya, ouko jm kariuki muge....are cowadrs for they could not face the power of intelligence, aluta continua

  • I always break down when I read of Tom Mboya, his journey and what kenya is going through right now. Was it not for him, we could'nt be where we are right a way.

  • Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful addition. One of the few ways our generation, which was not present at that time, can pay armage to one of Kenya's brightest shining star.

  • Thanks for putting this up and reminding some of us to look up information that reminds us anew of the brilliance, committment and principled character of Tom. May God rest Pamela in peace. She became a role model for girls and women by the way she held herself up personally and proffessionally.

  • Thanks so much for this memorial. On reflection its just so amazing how much Tom Mboya achieved in his 39 years, especially when you consider where he was coming from and the heights to which he climbed. In his 20's and 30's he was conversing with presidents and other world leaders as an equal, all this having opted out of higher education so his siblings could continue with school.
