  • Lost arts of India

  • Shyama and Naaz are the gals, Kya haseen aur mukaddash vaqt they. aap sub ko is na-cheez ka SAALAM.

  • First time I ever heard this was on Channel 4's definitive guide to Indian Cinema Movie Mahal...as then and now i'm still blown away.

  • I wish I knew what the hell they were saying.

  • I am listening to this song for years but first time seeing the video. Very good picturization. It is my favourite song. I enjoyed it more than ever before. Thanks for uploadig.

  • its such a lovely song ...

  • What lyrics!!! Too good!! Especially " we have made you capable of love/or being beautifull. What would happen to your beauty if we (men) were'nt here" and what will happen to your beauty when you get old (beauty fades soon).

  • a masterpiece!! even nowadays the generations can't create such qawwali..

  • love the lyrics, those subtle flirtatious games and challenges , where is this talent with words in today's raunchy songs?

  • Listen to "Sahar Qarib Hai Taaron Haal Kiya Hoga" By Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan from the album: Ishq Ka Afsana Vol.104. It the same tune but different lyrics. It was written by Sebha Atkhar.

  • If I havn't mistaken this movie was released in the first half of 1960. the music was by the great Roshan sahib and lyrics was by Sahir ludhianvi.. Ustad Nusrat was born in 1948 and was just 12 years when this film was made... Did he use the tune for his qawali? food for thought..... BtW i listened to the qawali after you mentioned it here its amazing... I am myself a big fan of Nusrat sahib.

  • Yes he did, the tune is the same but the lyrics are different instead of this: "Nigah-E-Naaz Ke Maro Haal Kiya Hoga" he changed to this: "Sahar Garib Hai Taaron Haal Kiya Hoga"

  • On the men's side, AUTHENTIC faces from the bylanes of Lucknow, Bhopal, Old Delhi and Hyderabad. Not Andheri and Kandivali

  • Listen to beautiful music of Harmonium in the beginning of the Qawwali.

  • thanks for posting this! i love this!

  • Ah wow! The lyrics and song delivery are beautiful and so are the 2 female actresses. They should have had better looking male actors on the opposing side...

  • Perhaps but I kind of think the guy is cute in a strange way. I guess looks aren't everything, is all I'm saying - he does the expressions so well I feel a little thrill. :)

  • You are right. Looks are not everything. To me most of them look like eunuchs, perhaps not and hopefully not. Eunuchs are a third gender so we should not treat them differently. Good observation by you, though.

  • the dam n left side. wasnt she shyama? a second grade heroine.

  • Lovely. Festive. A strong appeal to stop worry and start living. Thank you kitaabik for your contibuition.

  • Every thing is perfectly matched, The Qawwal & Party is perfect.

  • अदा बिजली, बदन शोला! क्या बात हैं!

  • तुम गंदे

  • the best qawalli..lol its so witty...love it

thank u for uploading this masterpiece. =)

  • just hear the lyrics and you can really realize that without even a single disgusting and humiliating word of today, s so called LOVE LANGUAGE....you can open your heart out in most beautiful ways

  • Nigahey Yaar Kee Nigahon Ka Haal Kya Ho Ga....

Amazing - Intro - those chanchals with their shrill oldies contrast.... the guys team so in sync with their clapping... wah wah...loved it!

    ~Ari
