It is a very beautiful tribute and I am sure the 343 Fire Fighters appreciate it. I know the number because I counted the number on the wall that honors them at the Fire Hiuse right across the street from where the World Trade Towers stood. That and I have it permanently tattooed on my back with an American Eagle Head that swirls into the American flag. That is my tribute! None the less, too many lives were lost period! Nice job! Beautiful tribute , I live in Staten Island and many of the fire fighters who died lived there. Staten Island still in my opinion to this day has not fully recovered from the loss of life along the countless others who lost their lives . Let us never forget !
These brave men gave the ultimate sacrifice. May God bless their families both blood and brotherhood. There is not one person out there who isn't proud of these brave firefighters. They may be gone but they will never leave the hearts of every person out there, especially their families and brothers they left behind. I know I look up to these great men and I always will.

Those terrests will NEVER SUCCEED AT KILLING AMERICA. America rebuilt and cleaned up everything those terrests did. Jamesriske - I am sure if there was a fire in your home or any place you were in and there were raging fires around you and you could not escape by yourself, you would be screaming at the firemen " PLEEESE SAVE ME , HELP !" People of all jobs and walks of life do drugs and get drunk. As fror those firemen you speak of , they are a very few rotten ones. And the Firemen , police , and all of the rescue workers on 9/11 ARE HEROS !Your comments are so ignorant.

It is a very beautiful tribute and I am sure the 343 Fire Fighters appreciate it. I know the number because I counted the number on the wall that honors them at the Fire Hiuse right across the street from where the World Trade Towers stood. That and I have it permanently tattooed on my back with an American Eagle Head that swirls into the American flag. That is my tribute! None the less, too many lives were lost period! Nice job! They are God's special Angels now <3

Thank you for this! It is great, this is one of my favorite Springsteen songs. Just one thing though, there were 343 lost, 2 were on Paramedic duty. We lost enough brothers either way.

Thanks for the comment. It's a powerful song for sure. The info I got is that there were 3 retired firefighters who came out to help, and unfortunately lost their lives with the other 343 brave souls.

Beautiful tribute , I live in Staten Island and many of the fire fighters who died lived there. Staten Island still in my opinion to this day has not fully recovered from the loss of life along the countless others who lost their lives . Let us never forget !

These brave men gave the ultimate sacrifice. May God bless their families both blood and brotherhood. There is not one person out there who isn't proud of these brave firefighters. They may be gone but they will never leave the hearts of every person out there, especially their families and brothers they left behind. I know I look up to these great men and I always will.

Im not exalting the bad guys, they ARE bad guys, but you can't stand the handful of bad one's with the hundreds of GOOD guys. Heroes who have gone into a burning building to try to saves lives. And yeah, they might be doing a job, but it's a job THEY have chosen to do. Why? Because they think lives are worth saving. There is good and bad in EVERY profession and walk of life. I don't what you real problem is with firefighters, but you're taking it all out of proportion.

I was just watching another tribute and there was a picture of a sign saying Tom Gardner NY firefighter come home. I'm sorry to see on this tribute that Tom didn't make it :(

he will visit Ground Zero on Monday, September 24th
regardless of the denial of his request to visit the
site. His visit is slated to occur on Monday at 10:00
AM. There will be a peaceful protest on Broadway &
Liberty at 9:30 AM where hands will be held to form a
human chain to block his entering Ground Zero. Please
send this to anyone you know who opposes Ahmadinejad's

the 3 extra comes into play with 2 paramedics and fr mychal judge 343 active the retired men 2 of them were fire safety officals at the wtc and were not added in any way

Those terrests will NEVER SUCCEED AT KILLING AMERICA. America rebuilt and cleaned up everything those terrests did. We will never forget that day, but at the same time we will press forward and create a bigger and more secure building. It's just so sad that those things have to happen in this world.

Thanks for the comment. There were 3 retired firefighters who went to the towers to help out, and unfortunately, lost their lives, too. These 3 guys aren't usually included in the firefighter death count.
