A lot Americans went to Iraq thinking they were avenging 9/11. Most Americans at that time believed Iraq was involved in the attack on the Twin Towers.

There they met Iraqis skeptical of our intentions because so many had died under sanctions that hurt only the most vulnerable, because we supported Saddam during the Iran-Iraq War but sold TOW missiles to Iran which hurt Iraqis, we did not help the Kurds in the late 80's when the actual gassing occurred.

I saw this documentary today and it confirmed exactly who is to blame for the fiasco in Iraq: Bremer, Wolfowitz, and Rumsfeld along with a host of other players. Those three certainly deserve the majority of the blame. Their actions have condemmed Iraq to instability for YEARS to come. As was said in the movie by Col. Hughes: after the invasion, Iraq had 40,000 military police ready to go to work-working to stabilize Iraq. They were put out of work by Bremers policies.

I have not seen this documentary, but I hope that throughout the film, the greater crime of invasion is denounced.
